okay, since i am a member of the kakashi x sakura FC over in the narutofan farums, i get in on quite a bit of juicy material at times. the owner of the FC, krickitat, is a totally awesome person who has started interviewing some of the well-known kakasaku fanfic writers and posting the interviews up on the forums. since we are also all kakasaku supporters here in this guild, i figured why not share the lovely information?
so, i hope you all enjoy the interviews and i'll make sure to forward any more that may eventually come.

Interview with Ronsmyhero
What started you liking the series naruto? `I was watching the subbed versions of Bleach before it came to the states and stumbled across a link to the naruto subbed anime. I clicked and watched the first episode and the rest is history really.
What drew you to kaka/saku more then other pairings? `lol. Honestly? I just love Kakashi and couldn't find the right female to pair him with and figured it would be easy to mold an 'older' Sakura into a good match for him. After reading Leafy's "Fated" I stuck with the idea.
Now which one of your stories is your fav story so far? `Beautiful Fighter even though its not finished. I know how its suppose to end already and i like the idea alot. Plus -to me- its some of my best writting as in: wording, structure, grammar. (even though it could still vastly improve lol)
Do you have any mentors or authors that you really like? `Oh yeah. Leafy_Girl is the reason I started writing and Sereanna is my muse. There are lots of other authors where I've read their stories and gone, "Damn! I wish I had thought of that" or "I wish my smut was that great".
What story besides one of yours is your fav? Oh easy. Dirty Deeds by Sereanna. Why? Its not only good drama but funny and sexy as well. I really liked that it was modernized too. Very different. Even though its not finished *kicks her in the butt* I still love it.
Now you were gone for quite a while, what happened to you? A hard loss, one I'm still in the process of getting over. I won't go into details.
Did you ever have a story that you wrote just for fun and more people liked it then you thought? `Funny that you ask. I wrote "His Fault" as just a way to try my hand at more Kaka/Saku smut after the one scene i did in 'Respect & Understanding". Truth be told, its one of my least favorite fics that i've done because toward the end I just wanted it over and done with so I just threw the end together. When i re-read it, I'm like, "Gah! what was I thinking?!"
I have seen other authors who have worked hard on stories but they just didnt do as well as some that they thought were worse, sometimes they come to resent both the story and the people who read it. Have you ever noticed that? ~To be honest,I haven't actually seen this because I only have 2 stories that are actually completed. Sure, I love "Beautiful Fighter" and even "Blackmail" more than "His Fault" but they're not finished so of course they're not going to do so well. At least that's the way I see it.
Many fanauthors especially authors who deal with a controversial pairing like kaka/saku have to deal with flamers, have you had very many problems? How have you dealt with them? `Flamers? I think I had one or two that were blatent "you suck, they don't belong together! -insert other insane pairing here- rules!" I just leave their comments cause its their opinion. I see it like this. I write for me and no one else really. If I'm happy with it, that's all that matters. If someone else likes it? That's even better.
What do you do when your not being a narutard? `I'm reading, watching anime, working, playing LOTR online or Wow, or taking care of my family. (I'm a huge Otaku from way back in the day. Yes, I'm probably old enough to be most fic reader's older sister and ... {god forbid i say it} their mother if they're really young!)
what has been the biggest help to you while writing? Music and pictures! If i'm stuck, I just cruise deviantart for pictures that relate to what i'm doing or put on a cd whose lyrics or fast paced beat fit the story. Gets the blood pumping, the brain seeing the story in my head come alive.
now to the part that dosnt have a thing to do with anything XD If you had a choice between a life of surprises both good and bad and a life of no surprises but nothing bad ever happens which one would you chose? `Life of Surprises! There's nothing worse than being stuck in a rut. I know from experience unfortunately, but I've learned that change adds that certain spice to life that I need.
Thanks again Ronsmyhero for doing this and being my guinea pig Now be sure to check Her stories out you can find them at her profile above
Beautiful fighter Naruto is Hokage, Sakura is ANBU as is Kakashi, but he has all but disapeared from their lives. Now Naruto, in his infinite wisdom, has thrown the two together on a perilous mission to save a girl. Can Kakashi be saved in the progress? KakaSaku
Blackmail A case of mistaken identity leaves Sakura with enough ammunition to get what the former members of Team 7 had always wanted. To see under Kakashi sensei's mask! Will Kakashi succumb to blackmail? [KakaSaku]
His fault Genma's influence forced Kakashi to see a 21yr old Sakura in a different light. Problem is he didn't want to. Watch as he tries everything he can not to succumb to his problem. What will Sakura do when she finds out? KakaSaku
Respect and understanding 24yr. old Sakura tries to join Anbu. She must seek the help of two old teammates to do so. Will she find love while in the ranks of the elite? A story on how respect can slowly change to love. kakasaku
Overcoming Me A 21yr. old Sakura learns that things don't always stay the same. Sometimes they change for the better. Love is found in the strangest of places and sometimes it's been there all along and you didn't even know it.
Be sure to also check out some of her shorter stories and compilations

Interview with SilverShine
What about naruto series captured your imagination? I'm going to be completely honest here...
Someone told me Uchiha Sasuke was actually a girl, and that was precisely why I started reading the series. I picked up the manga on the pretense that I was reading some bizarre shonen romance. Even though I learnt to my bitter disappointment that Sasuke was in fact ALL MAN, I carried on reading and found myself really caught by the relationship between the characters, and I was hooked by the time I got to Kakashi Gaiden.
Do you plan out a story before you write it, or do you make it up as you go along? Sometimes it's a bit of both. Some stories (like DBH) I start writing immediately with only a vague idea of which direction I want to go in and usually no idea how I'll wrap it up (that hopefully comes before I need to wrap it up). But there are some stories that I plan out very carefully to the point where I write a full draft before I post anything (like my next fic).
Do you take alot of your writing from real life experiences? That's a tricky question. I think different parts of writing come from different areas of experience. For plot and scenes and such, it's mostly just an idea that's popped into my head randomly. But when it comes to relationship dynamics and characters, I suppose I draw from what I know.
Is there any one in this community who inspires you or you look up too? I admire a lot of different people for different things. But I think I admire ronsmyhero the most, for probably getting me into Kakasaku fanfics in the first place.
What do you do about writers block? do you just wait for it to pass or do you forge on ahead and throw stuff away till your satisfied? I get hit by varying degrees of writer's block. Sometimes I can't seem to write anything, other times it's just particular stories that have me stymied, but I can write other things easily enough.
My method for dealing with a story I'm stuck on is usually to delete the most recent scene I've written, and attack it from a new angle, if not rewrite the whole chapter entirely. When I do this, the words start flowing again and the block is gone.
2000+ is alot of reviews! Did you ever think the window would get so many? And has your popularity affected your writing? I suppose having a more popular fic means I tend to write more carefully. I've never had a fic quite like The Window with so many reviews saying different things and so passionately. Everyone has so many different points of view on this story and it's really enlightening to read them all and then write the next chapter with their thoughts in mind. Before when my fics received about 10 reviews per chapter, I think I wrote more carelessly and my ideas sort of went all over the place. Now that so many people are watching me, I feel the need to keep a tighter control on the direction my stories take.
Do you ever find yourself doing Fanservice? Writing in particular plots or situations because you know it would please the greater audience? My fics are fanservice! XD Well, sometimes.
Some of your fics have been put on hold, what to some seems like indefinitely. Any time tables on when they might be finished? I like to try and finish a story before I move onto the next, but sometimes I get dragged away by new plot bunnies before I manage that. I'm hoping (loftily) that once I finish The Window I'll finish up with Seven Days and then move onto posting some of the short stories I've been working on. Divine is officially cancelled due to loss of interest in that particular fandom and it being so old it makes me cringe.
What is your fav story in the fanfic community? It’s a hard choice and I like a lot of stories by J-Pop Princess, Mahi-Mahi, ronsmyhero, and Serenanna. But I think my current favourite has to be “The Book of Five Rings” by Sakura haru.
What draws you into kakasaku? and do you like or read any other pairings? I like any kind of strange and off-beat relationship, and I'm strangely drawn to pairings of this nature for some reason. I've always thought that some girls are suited to older guys. Kakashi and Sakura are also my two most favourite characters, so I like slinging them together.
But I'm pretty easy with what pairings I like - I pretty much like all of them! NaruSaku, SasuSaku, NaruSasu, SasuNaru, NaruHina, SasuHina, KakaYama, YamaSaku, KakaYamaSaku, NaruSakuSasu, Jiraiya/Tsunade, and Kaka/Tsunade.
There really isn't a pairing I don't hate, and I'll read anything at least once.
Do you ever have any problems with flamers? How do you deal with them? Flamers used to really upset me when I started out writing fanfic. Actually, even the slightest bit of criticism used to dishearten me. At first I used to (naively) fight back against flamers, but as I've gotten older and the more I write, the less flamers bother me at all. I don't really get many flames these days though, and when people shout and swear at me I simply block them without a word and carry on because they're really only wasting their own time and mine with their silly antics. Occasionally there are more cutting flames that are staged like constructive criticism but without any effort to be nice (though often from people who have missed the whole point of the story), and those sometimes bother me, but I usually try to take what I can from the criticism, though I feel no need to thank the critic for being a d**k in the process.
It seems more and more often that stories are getting ripped and stolen by other wannabe authors. And strangely it is usually the most popular stories that get stolen, have you had any problems with theft?
When I used to write for other fandoms under a different name I did sometimes get plagiarized. Sometimes it would be people essentially rewriting my story in their own voice, usually it was people simply copying and pasting my work word for word, and once someone took my work, changed the names, and reposted it on original fiction counterpart site. Most of the time it seemed to be new authors who simply didn't know any better, but the most infuriating plagiarists are the ones who know exactly what they're doing and are only being malicious. It's even more infuriating when the story is hosted on because rarely ever responds to abuse reports anymore (contrary to the old days when any story would be deleted just on the say-so of the abuse report alone without any investigation), and I still have plagiarised copies of some of my old stories that have yet to be taken down. Pretty much all you can do in that situation is make sure the review board is full of links to original fanfic and then let it sink into oblivion.
One question i am sure alot of us have thought, Have you dated an ikki? Yes. And I put up with it until something better came along. XD
What aggravates you the most about the naruto community? anything that just burns your biscuits? Probably the one thing that annoys me most about the Naruto fandom is how people stake out a pairing and attack other pairings with such needless aggression. I don't like how NaruHina fans hate and demoralise NaruSaku fans, and vice versa, and even more puzzling I don't even understand why NaruSasu and SasuNaru fans hate each other. Any kind of character-bashing annoys me, frankly. Sometimes I think everyone should have a nice cup of STFU together. I pretty much love all pairings and though I clearly like some characters more than others, I don't really find 'hating' any of my not-so-favourite characters/pairings to be worth the energy. So sometimes I think the Naruto community could stand to grow a little maturity in this area. Why hate on rival pairings when everyone likes a good orgie?
I know this one is rather controversial especially lately, but how do you feel about OC's(original characters) as main characters vs. supporting characters only if at all? I only ever really use OCs when a canon character won't fit the part. For instance in 'The Window' I wanted Sakura to have some experience with relationships and sex, but I didn't want to relegate any canon supporting characters to the roles of ex-boyfriend because they often come with too many strings attached and I don't want people to have preconceived ideas of what they're like. For instance, if I'd used Kiba instead of Ikki, I don't think I could have written him as pathetic as that because it would be out of character and Kiba fans wouldn't have appreciated it. So I can definitely see the use of OC characters as background/supporting figures.
I don't think I really agree with OCs in a leading position though. It would have to be pulled off very well to work, and I've yet to come across a fic with an OC as a main character who I like. Too many writers use it as an excuse to insert Mary-Sues into a story and self-indulgent fics like that are not even remotely fun to read. So when I see a fic with those two letters in the summary, ussually involved in a pairing, I tend to skip right on by. I want to read stories about existing characters I want to explore further, otherwise I would be off down the bookstore checking out original fiction.

Well, thank you for your time and sorry again about the delay. It was fun doing this!
~Silvershine~

And thank you! Im sure there are many of us who really appreciate seeing the author behind the screen.

Here are some links to SilverShine's stories:
The Window genre:Kaka/saku Rating: M summary: Sakura always wanted to see Kakashi unmasked. This was a bit much though...
Duty Before Honor genre: kakasaku rating: M summary: Sakura knew why Tsunade didn’t want a virgin on this mission. Things might get out of hand. Acts might be carried out too far. She was glad Kakashi was accompanying her, but right then she wouldn’t have minded the entire population of Konoha.
Three Blossoms Genre: kaka/saku Rating: M Summary: Two and a half years is a long time. Time enough for a blossom tree to bloom three times. Time enough for a child to become a girl, but not enough to become an adult. Time for a heart to crack in loneliness, but not enough time for it to heal.
Seven Days Genre:kaka/saku Rating: M Summary:A mission gone awry lands two squeakyclean ninja in the Konoha Prison for a week. One cell. Seven Days. What could possibly happen? [Aside from the obvious throttling, of course. This is Kakashi and Sakura we’re talking about]
