Does anyone know the common type of plastic these Gundams use and the ingredients to make the plastic?

I'm asking because I plan to buy Gundam Model Kits, and I don't want to screw with the originals to make my own Custom ones, so I plan to make my own from scratch using molds.

Gunplas generally uses traditional PS (Polystyrene) with their joint parts made out of PE (Polyethylene) some of the higher grade Gunplas uses ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) for joints as well. I wouldn't recommend casting your own parts if you have little to no experience with them, as the process can be highly toxic.

However, there are sheets of plain polystyrene sheets that ranges from being 1mm - a centimeter thick available at your local hardware store (Or Hobbyist store) I recommend the latter if you can find one, since those people know what you want to make. You can cut and glue those together to make parts. (Most professional modelers just do this as casting is hard, dangerous, and expensive)

But really, just built from what the kit gives you. It's tedious and often dangerous for beginners to build from scratch.
