Zoinks! It's the Potions Class Scavenger Hunt!
That's right, ladies and gents! The sign-ups for the first ever scavenger hunt is now open!!! All you have to do is post your name below and you're ready to go! What about the rules? you ask? Easy! Look below at the blue section for the rules and how the game is played. Since this is the first attempt at such an obscure activity, I'm keeping things simple! Easier for you, easier for me, and easy for Snape! >.>
So here's how we're going to play! There will be two teams split as evenly as possible. I apologize if one team has an extra member, but I will acknowledge this when recording points, so please don't think your team is going to lose because of this! Also, before I go any further, if there aren't enough people to put on teams, it will be a sort of free-for-all; whoever has the most points wins! If there are ties, then everyone who won will get a prize.
Now, how the game actually works. What will happen, is that you all have until Friday night to sign up. On Saturday morning, I will post the teams(or list of contestants) along with the list of items you must find. For now, I'll come up with some names for the teams; in the future, I'll start things with more time so the teams can pick their own names. The list of items will consist of specific phrases, avatars, pictures, and other things that you must find on the Gaia site. Once you find something, take a screenie of it! ^_^ That is your 'item', your screenie. Once you've found all the items, or have found what you could, you go to the photobucket account that I'll provide to upload your pictures. Please note that the deadline for turning in your items is Saturday night. I'll be checking Sunday morning! And then you wait!
Sound hard? I'm not good at explaining things sometimes. ^_^;; Basically, it goes like this:

The way the Photobucket account is set up, you will have access to your team members' and the opposing team members' pictures. If any pictures are deleted mysteriously, the person responsible will cause their team to be disqualified. Please keep things clean and fun! I'd like to hold more hunts in the future, if it's possible.
What about the prizes?! Ah! The best part! What's going to happen is that I'll start out with a base pool of 7000g. For everyone who enters, I'll tack on 500g. So if only two people enter, it'll be 8000g. If three people enter for each team(6 ppl total) the prize pool is already up to 10,000g!!! Split that between the three winning team members, and each one walks away with 3,334g. Not bad, eh? wink Now there's an incentive to get your fellow guild members playing!
