[size=11][color=dimgray]@ Herb; I think there was a miscommunication or something, because now I'm even more confused. It's not that I'm opposed to soul sales, those are great. What I'm opposed to, is the limitation that pre-chosen essences [i]for those souls[/i] brings. It's not creative by any means, and it really alienates people from trying when they are not even remotely inspired. Especially when they might be if they had the freedom to choose their essence. Also I don't mean to be rude either, but I am not butt-hurt. These changes are very important to me and very sudden, and I want to understand them. I consider the choice of fel essence and soul, especially the combination, to be important as well. Shouldn't I want a potential character that's important to me to be what I want? What's the point in trying so hard for something that you don't truly feel connected to? @ Chrysu; Okay, categories of souls are a little better, I suppose... But I still don't see what the artist of judges not personally liking a soul choice has to do with it. They're not the ones playing it. If it doesn't [i]work[/i] or is to similar to an existing one, I can see it being denied for those reasons, but not just because the judges would choose something else or don't personally like it. Comparing sales from Plague Doctor and other shops only complicates things. The essences and souls here have such an impact on the characters, personality-wise, that it limits applicants if you make the combinations for them. Yes a certain item and a certain alignment in Plague Doctor is pre-chosen, but it's different to me in some way. As for mistakes in terms of fel essences, can't that be prevented through education? All the information that I've found about them is vague and short, so maybe a little more development would help?[/color][/size]
