In Seamus Heaney's translation of Beowulf he makes specific references to Alfader, Valhalla, and the like, however there is one line where he speaks of a Hama the Equivocator (liar) and how he desired the Broising hoard.

Does any one know if this is just another portrayal of Lok or some obscure reference to current events of the time? I cant seem to figure it out...
