Hello eeeeverybody! This is your wonderful VP speaking. This is basically just a thread where everyone can say hi, tell us your name and a little something about yourself. You can also fill out the poll for a nice little bit of gold...and to tell us how you found out about the guild. ^_^

I voted! I voted! Yeah gold! Gold is good!
I first heard about the idea for the guild from my daughter, Rhia Kolareny. It was her brainchild and her idea to try and get at least 20 people who were interested and then ask each person to donate 1k to the cost of buying the guild. I quickly signed on for the long haul and in the meantime, came up with an idea for my own guild, made up of people who love dragons. I met Lieutenant Jet and away we went, searching for members and the money to buy a guild. Thanks to my new found friend, he quickly located a guild for sale and traded one of his prized possessions for it. So he became the Captain and I, one of the Vice Captains. The guild is known as the 1st Dragonriders of Gaia. Upon being made VC, I immediately took advantage of the Captain's Guild and began a frantic search for a guild up for sale. I didn't have a lot of money, so I sent out a request for donations from our soon to be members. Some responded right away and others followed suit. Over time, I was able to make a little more money by selling off my items in the marketplace. So many guilds for sale and no one would get back to me. Finally, yesterday morning I was rewarded with a PM from someone who has had her guild up for sale since earlier this month. She was willing to sell. I sent the trade and she accepted and I became the Captain of the Geriatric Guild of Gaia. Invitations were sent, promotions have been made and I am still waiting for Rhia to log on and accept her invitation, so I can turn control of the guild over to her. I have done the hard part, now it's her turn, if she wants it. Wow, I wrote a book. Sorry.

I actually found out about this guild by reading RhiasMom's journal. I didn't realize that I actually qualified, however, until my husband told me. I just don't think of 17 as geriatric! It's kind of a hard thing to wrap one's mind around, ya know?
Anywho, when RhiasMom sent me the invite, I accepted right away! It's nice to have a place to hang around a more mature crowd on occasion. Though, I rarely act mature... But that's a whole 'nuther matter...

I'm a friend of Nimaway Monaghan's and she sent me an invite, so here I am mrgreen The best way to describe me is odd, but fun, with a habit of playful flirts and good laughs smile

I found out about it from RhiasMom, though I can't remember where we met. Also, it will be very nice to have friends to chat with who are closer in age to me and more mature.

Funny, I don't remember how we met either, but it was probably in a puzzle room. I did an awful lot of recruiting in the puzzle rooms early on. Or maybe it wasn't until after you were part of the Dragonriders.

I can't even remember where I heard of this guild - I know that I was one of the initial benefactors - ha.. I thought it was a real guild before then. It is an awfully good idea!
Me, I am 28 with an 8 yr. old daughter. Been on Gaia (different account, stopped playing for 2 years and came back to have NOTHING LEFT - Whah..) So.. now my daughter plays and I have to earn her gold and get collectibles. hehe... as you can see, I keep a good amount of them for myself and let her take what she wants. She is a sucker for scams. lol
Welcome everyone else!

Okay, so I started this character just because I wanted to ask some people some questions, and well it turns out that people liked to talk more than answer, so I decided to hang around a bit. After that I met RihasMom in a puzzle room, where we talked about Rihas more embarrassing childhood moments (Naw, just kidding, but I did meet in a puzzle room.) After that It was just a matter of signing up and helping with the initial cost a wee bit...err. well it was over half of my savings at the time but oh well. (2000g) XD Now I can talk with other people who are.... uhm.... "Pleasantly aged". rofl Oh yeah, and I prefer Ornate borders.

Hi, I'm 25, and I'm a Gaia-holic. Rhias invited me, though I was a bit delayed in getting here. But I think this guild has plenty of potential.

I'm a college student (pre-vet major), so I'm not particulerly old, just tired of the throngs of highschoolers in the forums.
I do dance and draw manga and stuff. And I'm into music, but everyone likes music, right?
Oh. I'm also insane heart

I'm also insane heart Hey, I thought about becoming a vet when I was in HS, even worked part time for a couple of vets and at a Humane Society my Senior year and 1st year in college, but couldn't afford to go to college to get my degree. Good luck.
