Over the past few years, heartless and nobody ships have dulled in space. At a point in time gummi ships were mainly used for space battles, but after many years of battling gummis are mainly used for transportation now. Most areas in space have some kind of ruins laying around, but they can be easily avoided through alternative routes.

The Scorpion sailed through space with ease, the little thrusters leaving a trail of light behind the ship. Syric relaxed into the somewhat cushioned pilot chair. It would be a relaxing, slow flight. Since the Gummi ships made the tall man nauceus. The ship was on AutoPilot, heading for the Chaser's headquarters. Manton said he knew what planet Falk would be on, but he didn't know where it was. Syric knew, but the teen refused to travel anywhere by magic. His mom had apparently told him some "stories" that spooked him. "So, Tivona was sheriff of that little town back there?" Manton nodded, looking a bit tired, or bored. "Figures, she was the protector type." Manton opened one eye and glanced lazily at Syric. "Mom said that about you, too. If a team mate, or whatever a fellow assassin would be, was in trouble you'd come running." Syric shrugged, not refuting the claims. They were true. ***
Turbulence rocked the tiny ship. jerking Manton out of his snores and Syric out of his 'meditations'. Syric glanced around at the monitors, trying to figure out if they hit anything. Nothing. The ship rocked again, causing Manton to nearly spill out of his seat. Syric felt heat from somewhere behind him, andhe turned to check the back. He thought they blew a thruster. But, what Syric made him leap out his chair. At first, the being looked like a ball of flame. When Syric noticed it, though, it sprouted arms and legs and a head. It was made completely out of fire, two white-hot fires gleaming as eyes on the thing's "face".

The flame being wavered and flickered for a moment, as if registering Syric. Then it spoke, a voice sounding like burning leaves and crackling twigs. "Falk Brant sends his regards." The golem said, not moving. Syric lept and charged the monster, thinking to extinguish the being with his magic, or slice through it with his blades. The ice didn't work, the thing just laughed. It sounded as if a gasoline fire was being fanned. Syric then started to will his keys to him, but they were no where to be found. He brushed his hand by his belt. Not there! The dashboard! Syric thought, starting to turn. The thing caught Syric by the neck, though, and whipped him around to the hatch. Syric was pressed against the wall of the ship, strggling to tear the beings fiery arm away. It wasn't burning Syric's pale skin, but it was warm. The golem seemed to sap Syric's strength, though, and the large man clung to consciousness desperately. The golem seemed to smile in satisfaction, pressing Syric against the hull harder, making Syric flail and gasp for air. For moisture. Finally, the blackness took him. The flame golem laughed again and dragged the unconscious fighter to the middle of the cargo area before disappearing, with Syric in tow. Manton stayed hidden under the console during the whole ordeal, noting how much Syric struggled with the being. If Syric didn't have a chance, then Manton...He couldn't think of anything so impossible. The teen jumped into his seat after the golem disappeared, and had a slight panic attack. "What do I dowhatdoIdo?" Manton bit his bottom lip and glanced at the controls. They were still functioning. He noticed Syric's key chains lying on the console. He said they were important. He slid them into his jacket pocket. "Get help, that's what I do." Manton breathed with resolve, pushing the throttle forward. The small, orange craft sputtered for a moment, but then shot off like an arrow, towards the Chaser's base of operations. Manton hoped he would find help there.
