I'm pissed at my Dana (the one who likes miss British dentistry.)
A few weeks ago, I told him my friend Amber was looking for a job, and asked him if he would put a good word in for her where he works. He says "No, I think she smokes pot, so she couldn't pass the ddrug screen."
This, to me, is a bullshit answer. If someone made a request like that of me, I would say yes. This leads me to think he really just doesn't like her. I'm talking to her a few days later, and she expresses that she thinks the same thing. I say "Well, he is strongly against drug use, and I think he thinks you're a druggy." A few days ago she talked to him on MSN or something and comfronted him about it. (I think that was a bad idea, but whatever.) Instead of saying something to defuse the situation, he just tells her to leave him alone and blocks her.
A few weeks ago, my Amber was trying to date Dana's brother. I was telling her not to, because he is an a*****e, and I don't like him at all. Because of something she said, I thought maybe they were going through with the realtionship. I asked the Dana about it, and he said "Well, my brother is a duche. But, he better not be, because he's dating [insert some ugly female name of a girl I don't know.]" So, thinking what he said was kin of funny, I tell Amber what he said.
She gets upset, and asks why, and I have to come up with some excuse as to why. I ask Dana why he said it, and he's like "Wait, you TOLD her?"
I'm thinking "oh crap." Dana says "She better not tell him, because if he starts fighting with me I'll get kicked out of my house!"
Taday is the first time I've seen him since that day, and I wanted to make sure I didn't cause any trouble for him. I say "I didn't cause you any crap the other day, did I?" He gets this confused look on his face. "With amber and your brother? You know, with the duche and stuff?"
He says "Oh, no." and then he tells me about all the MSN stuff. Then he starts going off on this wild tyraid, talking to some other people he was hanging out with. He says "Yeah, she's really annoying"
I say "well, I don't think so." He keeps going on about all these things that bother him about her, and then he's like "Yeah, we don't like Amber," speaking on my behalf.
I say "wait, I like Amber." He gets this wierd look on his face and stops talking.
What I want to know, is why would I ask him to help get hera job if I didn't like her? It's notass if I ever spoke negatively about her. He even saw that I text message back and forth with her all the time. Why is it that he would assume I don't like her, and then tell other people that I don't? It's not like we live in a big city, we're in a small town. Things like that get around, and because of his assumptions I could lose a friend. Has anything like this ever happened to you?
