Directly in front of the Ziggurat lies the Town Circle. In the middle, you see a large fountain shooting into the air. This is a place to mingle and meet people, this should be any Psychics first stop. Introduce yourself to everyone else, shop for supplies, or open up shop. (PM me with shop ideas and we might make a thread for you.) From here, One can enter the Jabberwocky Tavern or the Library, or simply sit outside and read a book. Who knows, you might even forge budding relationships or create rivals in this most distinct area of town.

Alamander exited his house and started into the small twon circle. It was a cool day and the breeze whipped through his spikey hair. The street was quite bair today and the town seemed somewhat asleep, he thought nothing of it and started off down the street towards the Jabberwocky Tavern.

Kazuya leand against the base of a fountain. Although the fountain had a well made bench all the way around it, the young man managed to sit on the ground and leaned against it. His auburn eyes dart from the people who often looked at him oddly to a journal that he wrote viscously into. He writes in many languages, all twisting and meshing together to form something he could probably only read. He shifts his weight, straightening his back. He looks rather grimy for a man of his stature. His hand bore cut off gloves and he dressed in all black. His oval face was a pale olive and it stood out brilliantly against his black decore and hair. He turns back to scribbling.

As he walked, he passes the Zigguarat. Standing up on the stage, a lean man waves his arms frantically as he talks to a crowd of eager psychics.

"And I hearby promise you that these strange rifts have no real meaning. I have Psychomasters working full time to ensure your safety and you must believe me when I say that Arcanus City is in no real danger."

He listened closely to the words and then continued along his path, glancing for a moment at a darkly clothed man, writing viciously in a book.

Jayde yawned as she walked out of her home an into the Town Square, making her way towards the libarary to begin another day's worth of work. She passed the Zigguarat, stopping only for a brief moment to gaze at the crowd and to get a short summary of what the man atop the platform was saying.

She chuckled softly to herself as she heard him say that the strange rifts had no meaning at all. Perhaps if the psychics who worked closer to the public than she actually came to visit her, and actually decided that they truly wanted to know what was going on - then maybe they wouldn't sound like such fools when they spoke.

Laughing to herself, Jayde pressed on towards the library.

Kazuya glances up at the pryomaster who had looked at him. His dark auburn eyes follow him momentarily. He nods. Afterwards he returns to his book. When the sentence is finished he stands and closes the book with one graceful movement. He is averaged hieght and leanly built with long black hair well past his shoulders.

Alamander continued on aruond the circle and glanced inside the shops as he passed. He needed a new jacket, but he wouldn't have enough money for months. As a teacher, he had never really made much money, but he was in love with what he did, and that was what mattered. Suddenly, he looked up at the sky. Being an underground city, the sky was simply a figment placed into everyone's imagination. However, the sky seemed darker then ususal. The light blue had been tinted by a darker color.

"That's strange."

The quiet man had followed him silently. His wordsd are soft and thickly accented. "Depression," he whispers, "Fear." He looks up breifly, "Uncertainty. Yes... Yes I understand." Did we mention he rarely made sense in or out of context? His mind traveled to quickly for his mouth to keep up. He nods. "Alamander? Teacher, yes." He nods in agreeance with himself. "We have not had the honour of meeting."

He turns quickly in his spot, breaking his gaze with the sky and turns to the man who had been writing before. The man was staring eerily at him. "Yes...but what is your name?" Alamander had never really paid attention when it came to mind reading.

"Name? Oh.. yes." He holds out his hand, it was tattooed, evident even under the cut offf gloves, "Waikiko, Kazuya." He nods, "Me." He points to himself with his free hand. "Telo..." he mumbles as if it was important, but he didn't care. He allows his hand to stay out waiting to be shaken, though his eyes darted about. He looks at the sky, "Dark. Scared..."

"Telomaster huh." He holds out his hand with a disgusted look on his face, and shakes the man's hand. "Forgive me for not being overly excited to meet you. I don't normally talk with your...kind."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 12, 2005 5:36 pm

"Noone." He says, quietly. He shrugs. He takes his hand back and shoves the pair into his deep pockets. His turtleneck came up around his face, hiding his tattoos. He shifts his weight. "No harm taken. We understand." He points to his head. A teacher? Where could this be advantageous. I don't like his reaction, an enemey? Already? Hmm... Flickering light, Fire, no? "Fire?"

"Yes, I'm a Pyromaster." Alamander nods, and snaps his fingers. A small flame shoots from his hands and glows for a moment. He smiles. He snaps once more and snaps again. the flame vanishes.

He nods, not impressed. Not much impressed him. He leans on one leg and looks in the dirrection the man had been headed before he had looked at the none existent sky. "Go?" He asks, intending to get the point across that he was asking if the man was going somewhere. He isn't really thinking about the conversation anymore though. He was thinking about his next meal, his next job. He balls his hand into fist, luckily he never had to worry about being paid in this society. He shakes his head and tries to remain focused on the man before him.

Tamiko walked over to the fountain of the Town Circle. She sat on the outer rim and looked down at her refelction. She shrugged, moving her long bangs out of her eyes, to only have them fall back into them once more. She took out her book and crossed her legs as she began to read, her red eyes moving quickly across the pages.
