Garinger's bay is the place for a scenic day on the beach, a trip in a boat or a secret meeting of the Hydromasters. Garinger's bay is the underground fishing port of the Psychomasters. This great Lake was created by the Hydromasters hundreds of years ago and they are very proud of it. Littering is met with insanity, which the litterer has no way of reversing. A good place for trade or uderwater quest, Garinger Bay holds many of the lost secrets of the Psychics.

Panting, she bent over on the sand, trying to catch a breath. She had turned west like Sephiria had told her to, and just kept walking...

And walking, and walking, and walking until she saw a lake. Was it 2 miles? No...maybe more.

Of course, the girl could have grabbed some sort of transportation, but nooo...she had to be an idiot.

Fyera stood and gazed out into the vast amount of water, smiling.

I really should come out here more... It's calm here...and the sounds remind me of 'that' time...

The Hydromaster glanced down with a rueful smile, and then perked up, turning to grin enthusiastically at the dead...floating man.

"Well! It's time we got going!"

Fyera then strided over to the shore and frowned, Maybe I need to get somewhere where the water's deeper...

She beckoned to the coffin of ice, and then make her way towards the nearest dock. The sand made the tiniest of sounds as she walked on it, almost as if there was no one there... Then again, the sand seemed to be packed together, so it wouldn't make any crunching sounds unless the person walking had big feet.

Big feet...yes, I am quite the intelligent one, aren't I?

Sighing, she stretched and softly murmured the rest of the short song from before.

"But once the azure fragments breach the sky,
then the world and my life are complete.
Until that day I will wait...
for my cry to reach you."

She didn't notice the ominous shadow ahead until it was too late...

"WEEEEEEEELCOOOOOOOOOME!"

The man in front of her threw his arms wide, yelling to the false sky.

"Geh!" Startled, she fumbled back and breathed hard, shooting him a weird look. Was he insane? Did people usually pop up out of nowhere to yell a welcome? Had she stumbled into some invisible asylum??

As these questions ran through her mind, the man posed, pointing a finger to the sky, then at her.

"HELLLLLLOOOO TOURIST! May I interest you in some FABBBULOUS bathing suits, PRETTY lady?"

"Eh!?" She took a couple more steps back, giving him an 'I'm disturbed! Horribly!' look.

The man threw back his head and laughed in huge, boisterous barks.

"NOOOOOO?? Then how about some WAAAATER SKIING!?" He grinned, showing rather...sparkly, straight teeth. His hair was greased and combed to the side, and he sported a golden ring on each finger. Around his neck was a golden chain necklace, he wore no shirt, and was in swimming trunks. Oh yes, the swimming trunks bore several hearts, and thankfully, reached down to his knees.

She noticed something else about him too. He was hairy, and buff...and scary.

Fyera merely blinked several times and then answered as calmly as possible, "Umm...no thanks. I'm kinda busy at the moment an--"

Cutting herself off, the girl then decided that gaping was the next best thing to do.

Why?

The man had broke out into song, and other people were joining him.

Yes, as she was about to speak, eight girls in gaudy outfits came out of nowhere to pose on his right and left. There were four girls on each side, and apparently, they were the chorus. Other people came out too, other tourists, and a band. Where they came from, was unknown.

"Heeeey there, little tourist girl! Garinger's Bay got eeeverything!♪"

"Bathing suits!♪"

"Snacks!♪"

"All your swimming needs!♪"

"We gooot it!♪"

They continued as the Hydromaster felt like the world had exploded. She just stood, gaping at them all, at the stupidity and randomness. She also wondered if she was frothing at the mouth. Turning her head to the side, she muttered into thin air, "...is everyone here insane?"

Even the tourists were joining into the song.

This was all...a waste of time. About to say so, a beach ball smacked her in the face...

Coincidence? I think not.

Fyera narrowed her eyes and raised a hand threateningly...

Even so, the crowd took no notice of her actions. She began walking around them to get to the other side, but a dancing couple got in her way.

What a pain.

Taking off the left pair of her shoes, she chunked it at the obnoxious singer in order to grab his attention.

"Oh! I just gooot a shoe thrown at mee~!♪"

All sounds died off as the song finished, and the entire crowd turned to blissfully stare at the Hydromaster.

"Ah...crap. At least they stopped."

The crowd then parted to let the singer through,
"HEEEY there, little missy. Littering ain't allowed here. Do I, the GREAT Benjamin of GAAAARINGER'S BAY, have to boot you out of here!?"

Fyera blinked, and then sighed, "You idiot. I only chunked my own shoe at you. That's not littering. It's me being an a** to get your attention."

"OHHH!? And WHYYY do you need my attention!?!?"

Taking a deep breath, she replied with...

((Ah, thankies. ^^))

"Well, if you must know..." She drawled flatly, giving him an impatient look...

"I'm no one suspicious, but..." Jabbing a thumb over her shoulder at the coffin, she continued, "...I've got a dead body floating behind me, and so I'm going to the upper-world to bury him. Savvy?"

"YOU HAVE A WHA--oh, oh, now I see. I understand, little missy. I understand just fine. That pain you have, and the joys of love, I understand it. I FEEL YA, missy!"

"Ah... Finally you get...wait, what? Why're you crying!? Did you just say 'love'!?"

Cut off by the man's loud bawling, she turned to stone once more, and stood gaping.

Benjamin had his face turned up to the sky, and tears were running down his face freely. His face had this look of 'enlightenment' on it, and if sparkles could suddenly pop up around someone, they would be around him.

He turned to the crowd and announced in this strangely 'moved' voice,
"My friends... This WOONDERFUL child, in an act of pure LOVE, is taking her beloved to the unknown to bury him! In her own words, I perceived this warm feeling, and in it lay a tale of WOE! The grievous passing of her beloved, has separated the two, but she stays by his side until the end!!"

The crowd, somehow, was moved by his words, and tears stood upon many faces. Fyera, meanwhile, was scoffing in shocked amazement.

"Ah-ah-aaaa? Jeez...like Sephiria would say, 'They're all idiots.'"

She decided that this would be the perfect time to make a clean getaway. With Major Idiot talking their non-existent heads off, her little scramble might not get noticed... About to leave, a few words of the conversation hit her...

"--and SO, my friends! Let us aid this SAINTLY CHILD on her long voyage to the FEARFUL UNKNOWNS of the world above!"

Those words made her fall over, literally.

"Ah, crap."

While she was kissing the sand floor, wondering how life could go wrong so quickly, the singer from before stooped down to give her a hand up. Grabbing it, she was gently pulled up, and then squished like a rag doll.

"Geh."

He was crying again, and the imaginary sparklies were once again surrounding him.

"LIIIITTLE MISSSSSY!!! I, the GREAT Benjamin, shall aid you on your perilous quest of LOVE!"

The crowd surrounding them cheered, and the band started playing again.

Fyera was still being squeezed to death by a seemingly insane, buff person--so all was not joyful.

"...em...ey...in...r...gno..."

Benjamin laughed hard and squeezed her again,
"HA HA HA! Little missy, I can't hear ya, unless you speak up!!"

Air...going...oxygen...disappearing in hairy skin of buff man...life...flashing before eyes...!

"NO AIR! DO I NEED TO REPEAT MYSELF!? I'M DYIN--Ah. Wait, air returning, it's a miracle."

Finding herself sitting on the man's shoulder, and being rushed to the docks, Fyera blinked.

"Ah? Hey, buff guy, what are you doing?" She narrowed her eyes against the oncoming wind and looked back at the crowd, which was now a small point in the distance.

"OHHH! You awake, little tourist girl?? You seemed kinda dozed off, so the GREAT Benjamin decided to help you personally with your beloved's burial."

Sighing, she waved a hand in front of his eyes and sharply said, "Stop! You're missing three points."

Benjamin stopped and turned up his head to look at her,
"HMMM?? I didn't oil a spot on my BEAUTIFUL body??? Impossible!"

Falling to the side, she sighed once more and then straightened herself, putting up one finger.

"First, I'm not 'Little missy' or 'little tourist girl', I do have a name, and it's Fyera. A pleasure to meet you, Buff...Benjamin."

Putting up a second finger, she continued, "Secondly, the dead guy floating behind me, is NOT my 'beloved.' For starters, before he was killed, he was probably 30 years old. I'm too young to be thinking about that kind of thing anyway--since I'm only 15. I, for one, found his corpse in the city, and the dead should be buried, or even better--cremated. Leaving bodies about is...a sorrowful thing, I want those who have passed to be in peace."

"Third, you don't have to go with me. The surface, though dangerous, yes...is a place I have lived for most of my life. I can survive up there for any amount of time, and the burial process will only take a few hours. Please go enjoy yourself at the bay, I can handle this alone."

He gave her an odd look, and then laughed heartily before patting her head.

"Don't you worry, Miss Fyera! HA HA, for whatever reason, I'll help ya! If not a help, then I'll just be BEAUTIFUL company for the journey. BESIDES! Both you and I are people of the sea, we should help each other!" And without another word, he ran for the docks yet again.

"...well, thanks, then..." She grumbled, slightly blushing. He acted like some weird, barbaric father, and that was her reason for blushing... Having a father was an experience she never had before
.

((Moving on so I can get back to evil city~))

Reaching the docks, Fyera leapt off the man's broad shoulder and landed neatly on the wooden planks. She straightened herself, and then reached the end of the platform, gazing down at the clear water below. The area was deep enough to suit her taste, not to mention saving her from several injuries that would occur on shallow water...

She smiled and then realized something, turning to give the man a suspicious look.

"Hey... How'd you know I needed to get to the docks?"

In the middle of flexing his muscles to a pole, the man paused and grinned,
"Oh, I had some of my men keeping tabs on you. I keep tabs on EEEEVERYONE, little missy." He laughed out loud again, and then resumed flexing--this time to the dead, floating man.

Fyera had fallen over again, jerking.

To be able to say something like that so simply...jeez...

Standing, she pulled off her necklace, and slowly dropped the crystal into the lake. As soon as it touched the water, the amethyst began emitting a soft light. Swinging the amethyst into an arc, she murmured, "I ask of Tethys, Lady of the Sea, allow us safe passage through your realm."

Completing the circle, she waited momentarily before rising. As the innards of the drawn circle shimmered with an eerie, azure light, she bowed and then waved a hand at the buff man.

"Hey, hairy guy, lets get a move on!"

And without another look back, she beckoned to the coffin, and then jumped into the ring of light. Benjamin whistled as the coffin followed her, and then jumped into the ring yelling,
"Cannonball!!"

Rain sped along the side of the bay towards a cottage at the far end. A single light was on in the window. She was home after all. "Merian! Merian!" she called as she neared the house. A woman stirred inside moving towards the door and opening it. "Rain!" They two rushed to each other and embraced.

"Hmm, so your friends need a healer?" Merian asked as she set down her mug of coffee. Rain had explained that some of her friends had been injured very badly but was afraid to tell her the reason.

"Yes, as soon as possible. Besides, you're an amazing healer!" Rain said, her eyes hopeful.

The older woman sighed and smiled softly, "Alright, I'll com-" Merian was cut off by the young hydromaster flinging her arms around her neck joyfully.

"Oh thank you, Merian! Thank you so much!"

"Hey now...I do need to breath!"
