Still, we can dream.

And an Elder Scrolls MMO would undoubtedly be win, provided they didn't change gameplay an excessive amount.
Tamriel is a ripe world to set an MMO on. Think of the variation, after all. Ten races, and within those ten races, you can be a werewolf, wereboar, a vampire of any of the various varieties....

The big issue would be transferring it to an MMO format. What to change, what not to change, how to work out quests, how to make sure the economy doesn't collapse, etc.

Yeah, what I would really like to see one day is an Elder Scrolls where you can go to any province and anywhere in Tamirel.

I sense lag, and lots of it.

But if I know Bethesda (and I do) there will be a freakin amazing single player game, despite the MMO portion. But you're right. I mean, damn, think about the loading times for Oblivion... not saying it wasn't worth it, but lag would be a major issue for sure. I hope they don't make it PC only, you will have to have a powerhouse computer to run it.

BAH. You guys don't know computers very well; have a simple set up in the programming that pings a server for the information inside of a fifty foot radius and reverts the drop weapons/items manipulation stuff to what it was like in Morrowind. Also, a guy has already released a MOD for Oblivion that lets you have a friend appear as an NPC and follows all of the usual stuff. So, install the full game, get a patch from Bethdesa that does all of the stuff to the game and have a server that keeps track of where items are and where the people are. Simple.

Agreed. However, with Xbox Live, Bethesda would prolly find some way to put it on console. It wouldn't be as big as on PC like WoW, but it would work. Maybe lol. However, about Shaman Dixenos' idea, Bethesda would probably end up limiting it to werewolves and vampires, giving a possible war between the two as is shown in many films, books, etc. And as for what sephiroth-ck said, they would probably HAVE to open up all of tamriel or it would be very crowded. Tho they'd probably sell the other locations as extra content and expansions. It would be an amazing game. Huge, complex and expensive, but amazing. Not to mention how many lives it would own.

Heh, sounds like me; my friends and I would get together at one of their houses here he had an awesome set up where two routers with twenty ports where connected with two cables, increasing their traffic capabilities up to two whole gigs of info being able to move through it in one second!! Lets just say, the only reason for any slow game on our PCs was their own custom-built rig sucking.

Yeah, the only parties I go to are birthday ones (not very often people have them now) and LAN parties. lol

DAMN that's fast. And my idea of a birthday party is sitting at home with my friends playing video games and massacring a cake and a pile of pizza. It's pretty sweet.
