I've been considering starting of a space for blogs for a while.

They don't have to be guild related. But I thought it might be nice to have a place where we can comment about our experiences. Especially for those who are just starting to explore their gifts, or for those of us who are trying to learn more about the gifts they recognize they have.

In my case, it is a little of both, I guess. I don't claim to know everything about psychic abilities, and even the information I do have might not be correct either. Trust me, there is alot of stuff I have no clue about. But it is always fun to learn new things, and test the stuff I do know.

Then naturally there is the stuff I've forgotten about, but am trying to remember. "Laying on Hands", for example, has been my most recent project. I took different courses, years ago, but due to lack of practice I forgot a few things, and needed a refresher. Part of the reason I haven't been as active in the guild is because of the courses I've been taking. Therapeutic Touch was one of them. It is a style of Laying on hands, energy field work, spiritual healing, or whatever you want to call it. It wasn't bad. It definately awoke my memories from pervious courses, and for a while I was trying to find a balance between the old and the new. But it seems to be working well, and I'm feeling more comfortable with it. Which is the most important.

Oh man am I hyper tonight
Not sure if it is the snow, or if I've got too much sugar in my system (usually makes me tired though). Man, motor mouth, fidgety and very very energetic. My bf just gave me crap for not stop chatter box, and told me to go relax and calm down.

But I don't wanna.

It isn't like my night's been super spectacular. It has actually been rather typical. Well, other than taking my car in to the mechanic to get my altenator fixed, and working my 1-9 shift.

Maybe it was the coffee? Coffee can make me hyper. Or maybe it was the back pay that we got! It will definately be a Merry Christmas with that little pay YAHOOOOOOO!!!!

AH hem.

Ok projects for over the next couple of months:
Still going through the older threads and compiling the info for easier referencing. It will take a while, but that is ok.

I think I'm done playing with the sub forums for the time being. But if anyone has any suggestions for making the guild better, I'm listening 4laugh

I will be adding members to the Mascots Friend list. Right now it is to keep track of who is active and who isn't. But I'm hoping that at some point we might want to consider a news letter of some sort, but that won't occure any time soon.

I'm going to hold off on any big contests for the next while. Dice rolling seems to have slowed, along with posts which has made the monthly thread nominations a dead end at the moment. I may decide to move that into the main area and allow anyone in the guild to nominate their favorite guild threads.

One more thing to add to this. I want to extend a warm welcome all our new members. I think I've seen 4 come in this month, which is awesome! There was a 5th person, but I'm not sure if he had an actual interest in the guild or just wanted to beg for gold.

ok I think I've typed my fill for this page. Have a great day all heart

I've been practincing my therapeutic touch more frequently. Tonight I worked on one of my co-workers during some down time. Before that it was a couple of the clients in the group homes I work in. It was all in fun, naturally. Whether it has any positive impact on the person isn't up to me, but at least it offers some relaxation after a stressful night.

Hi all & happy new year!
Sorry I haven't been around much. Holidays, work... you know the drill.

Anyway, I'm hoping to make it up the lost time over the next couple of weeks. I'm working morning shifts so I should be on Gaia sometime around 4 pm. Hopefully, there will be no distractions. I've got a couple of threads to update and finish, and see if I can find anything else of interest to post in the guild.

Hope to see you around smile

Ok So far I have most of tomorrow off.
Might get it all if I don't have to attend a meeting. In any event I will try to be on in the afternoon. Definately after 3, maybe sooner.

Thought it might be kind of neat if anyone is around to gather in one of the games, but will see what happens smile

Well, Thyna, I've been coming and trying to post, but then I get caught up in reading all the information you have here and run out of time.

I noticed you are learning the Therapeutic Touch. I think it has good ideas, but wanted to share some things with you. You can take what you like from my experience...or not! lol
If a person is to do healing (hands on or any type) the healing energy must come from the Universal Light, from God/Higher Power. The book doesn't deal with the spiritual side of things, but when healing I find I would become very depleted using the therapeutic touch. One can also accidentally 'pick up' dis-ease from the party you are working on.

One other thing I find absolutely necessary when healing is to first surround oneself with the pure white Light of Love. Ask for protection from ones' guides/angels/spirits of the Light.
This method seldom fails me:
1. Surround Self (protection) and let that sink in. Optional: You can light sage and do a blessing as well, light candle/s, place a bowl of water in the room. Do a prayer and ask that your Master be with you.
2. Breathe and let that energy penetrate every fiber of your Being
3. Ask that every thing you do during the healing be for the Good of All.
4. Let the Light enter through your crown chakra (top of head), flow down into your heart chakra, through your arms, and out of your hands as you work.
5. Keep grounded by visualizing your feet extended into the Earth and roots growing under you. You may use grounding stones for yourself and the person you are working on if that is something you have an affinity for.

Everyone has their own way of doing things, and there are lots of variations. I've just found it to be safer using these tools.

Thanks for the insight
and I do agree with you on all of that.
Originally, back in '92, I was trained by the National Federation of Spiritual Healers, they use Light and Highest Good. But I hadn't practiced in a while and felt I needed a refresher. Unfortunately, my old instructors had since retired, and to go that route again or even Reiki would require a 2 hour drive (1 way). T.T. was only 45 minutes away and close to where my sisters lived.

T.T. is ok for what I needed, but I do prefere NFSH style. It's pretty much similar with what you mentioned. Centering, asking for Guides and Deities who would be of best assistance to join and then guiding light and energy as it flows through.

and yeah I know what you mean about the info stuff. I'm still learning myself and I've been at this since public school. heart

You're have very incredible energy and insight. It's so nice coming here and reading! Hehe.. I've probably been doing this almost as long as you have!
I figured you knew most of that, but I can actually say it's pretty easy to pick up bad stuff even when I'm careful, so I just try to help as much as I can to prevent that from happening to anyone else. It's miserable to pick up illness, symptoms, and can keep me down for quite a while should it happen.
I learned from two Light Workers trained by Melody in San Francisco. I intended to take some kind of formal training, but I had some distance issues, like you do, and at some point decided that no one should have to pay (and it's usually not a token amount) to learn. I've since just studied and kept training with the same two people, who became friends. Since everyone has different methods, it's great to just practice and learn by experience as long as one is safe and has the basics.

I'm glad my parents were leaniant enough to let my uncle teach me this stuff and take me to his meditation groups and the Spiritualist Churches he use to do sermans at. Through him, I've met many remarkable people all with different views, and aspects. It's been a fun and amazing journey.

It doesn't hurt for the info to be brought up. There might be others who are not aware of that, and I admit, I'm one of those people who get so use to doing something that I might miss describing a step or 2 just because it is pretty much instinctual for me.

Yes, you're very fortunate! I was raised traditionally, and without realizing it, my parents 'closed me down' when I was little, because they had no knowledge they were doing it. They just didn't want me to be afraid, and had scientific or other ways of explaining what I was experiencing with my gifts. I just had an awakening when I was a young adult, and another when a bit older that brought these memories back.
I feel like I'm always learning, and always want others to share. There may be one little thing, but it can be a very important thing, that I learn.

Sometimes I forget to do one of the basic steps too. It might be that I'm distracted by the pretty shiny stones! lol

Stones are fun. I like how they feel, and have had some interesting experiences with mediations & conversations with them.

I've still got things I have to learn, and I learn best by Playing & sharing. Found Gaia was a decent enough place to do both, and still be able to meet various people and get different views on things. It's been fun smile

Feb 5
Hey all
I'm off work this week. But my computer time will be random. I've got a basement I have to tidy up and downsize the junk. I'm hoping to be on in the evenings, but there is no promises on that.

Anyway I've been working on the Spiritual healing thread
I need to work on Shamanism, but was wondering if anyone else is aware of different healing styles that I may not be aware of. (although I am planning to omit Psychic operations)

I'd love any info you may have
Thanks heart

Feb 15 (early am)
Thanks Starry Alpha for the info on Celtics. It is most apreciated heart

Ok
Tonight I've been working on the Meditation Tips post. Mostly just some minor house keeping like adding a Table of Contents type thingy and some colour touches.

At some point over the weekend I will again be working on that spiritual Healing post. Would like to eventually add some stuff involving energy flow. And then expand on some of it in the aura section as well. But we will see how things go.

On a personal note, I have to appologize to the guild if I seem a bit distant as of late. RL has been a bit nutty. Last year was not a good year, and this one hasn't started out too well. I'm holding my own so no worries, and it looks like things will be settling down soon. So hopefully I will be back at full steam before spring. mrgreen

Due to a couple of people pming me about astral Travel stuff (you know who you are 3nodding ) I've been doing some work on OBE & Astral Projection in the Resource sub forum. It is still in rough shape though, as I am attempting to scrape together info from other sources and use it in the posts. Trust me, it is far easier to use another sources ideas and descriptions than it is to come up with your own. As the healing thread has shown sweatdrop
