From the very first episode of Angel to the very last, the Senior Partners have been central to the plotline of Angel, planning the appocalypse from an entirely different dimension.
What are the Senior Partners, however? Are they Hell Gods, Old Ones, regular demons who have gained power over the centuries?
Are they an incarnation of every ill created by humanity? I hope that this thread will give voice to various theories and ideas concerning these most mysterious figures.

First I would like to voice my own theory on this topic. In the second to last episode of "Angel", Angel said that the Partners would send them in a Hell Dimension for their betrayel. This seems to present the theory that they are Hell Gods.
However, if I remember right, Holland Manners said that the Home Office was in this dimension, which though not true, seems to have some ring of truth, as Angel later said that the senior partners will remain strong because humanity is weak.
I'm thinking that they may be Hell Gods who gain their strength from humanity's dark side, which would explain why they were so weak in the Demon Age, as it was dominated by demons.

Hmm... I think you may be right, hell Gods that thrive on humaties darkness. That dose, however make me think of "the First" similar concept, thriving on evil. At first when I read your first thread I thought they could be a manifestation of humanity's badness, but that just dosnt feel right... they dont seem to be the manifestation type. I know that dosnt exactly make sence but, yeah...
I think they'd have to be hell Gods, I was thinking Demons, but hell gods is so high and powerful, something almost imposible to defeat.
