Hey, All! I'm either looking to DM a fairly long campaign (starting level: 1) or look for somebody to DM a campaign. Send me a PM or sign up here. I'm just looking for willing people. Characters, etc. will be developed after people have signed up.

Looking for around min:3, max: 4. If I end up DM'ing, only basic classes, and races will be fairly liberal. Alignment: Whatever. Just.... try and be nice to the group razz

Hey, I'm interested I suppose, not much else to do. Well, I have some experience in GM'ing in a few Table-top RPG's, (though I've only been DM'ing D&D for about six months) so I'd be quite happy to DM, but if you want to do it I'd be fine with creating a character as well.

P.S: Unless you have other plans, there is a campaign world I've been working on recently that I've almost finished drawing geography for, I just have to get to work on the history, races, etc.

Wow, that would be great if you could DM. I've actually assembled a group of 3 others, and I would prefer to be a PC anyways. The other people aren't in our guild. Hope you don't mind. Besides, my campaign isn't quite as polished as I'd like it to be.

If you are okay with DM'ing, I'll be happy to direct the people I've gotten to you. Just let me know how you feel about it.

Edit: Also, how are you as far as race choices are concerned? I'm currently looking at Yuan-ti Pureblood, and was wondering what your views on that were.

I would definitely like to take part in said campaign. Just wondering: what would be the basic outline of the adventure? Would it be something like one of those "band of heros set out to save the world" kinda things?

Ok, I'll DM then. I'll post a campaign and world brief as soon as I type it up and get a scanner. I'm a little busy right now so it may take a little while, but I'll try my best.

Starting level 3

I don't mind monster races, as long as LA is kept in order.

Okay, according to the Dungeons and Dragons website, Yuan-ti Pureblood PC's have a level adjustment of +2, which checks out as passable according to your post.

HOWEVER!

For backstory reasons, my Yuan-ti has lost many of his abilities. In an attempt to redeem some of the Yuan-ti, my character's blood has ceased in it's degeneration, and he has a somewhat more developed sense of morality. As such, he has no venomous bite (and really short fangs), he has not been exposed to dark/subterranean environments and therefore, has lost his darkvision, and his scaly hide has been softened.

Would this lower his ECL down to a standard character? Or perhaps lower the LA to a +1 instead of +2? Give me your thoughts.

How about this. To reduce it to LA 0

Yuan Ti Purebloods gain +2 DEX +2 INT and +2 CHA. Balance that out with -2 STR -2 CON and -2 WIS or any combination you really want, [I'm pretty laid back on ability adjustments as long as they're balanced and don't exceed the norm by ±4 or more.] to make that have no LA.

Remove the Racial Hit Dice and Spell Resistance.

Keep the Spell-like Abilities, and I think that qualifies for +0. If you agree, then send me the modified sheet. I've recieved communications from one of the players, but no-one else yet. How many are there?

Also, one of the players said you have the details of their WarForged. Could you please send me the details on WarForged? And their Character Sheet? I haven't played with WarForged before.

P.S: I also allow classes, feats, etc. From the following supplements:

Complete Adventurer
Complete Arcane
Complete Divine
Complete Warrior
Expanded Psionics Handbook

If anyone doesn't have one of these and is interested in playing as one of the classes, then I can send them the class descriptions.

P.P.S: Sorry Graxith

I have got two characters then, so I'm looking forward to recieving the last two. I've almost finished typing up the campaign brief, but I've had next to no time in the last few days on account of all the work I've had to do.

Why no Graxith, no I don't. Out of curiosity; Was that remark innocent, or an insinuation of something?

Well, it's going to take a while to put into definite form what is right now only floating about as notes in my campaign booklet and in my head, but here's what I've got down so far.

5 Continents[Usually 2 Empires to a continent]
(Map scanning pending)

8 Empires [In order of size]
-The Vesh empire, a Roman-like expansionist [Mainly Human] empire dominating about 70% of the habitable area of it’s home continent.
-The Gesstii, a medium sized [Chiefly Human, but still the most mixed empire in the world] empire sharing a continent with the Hezzhen, dominating 60% of their continent from the North, down.
-The Hezzhen, a medium sized [Chiefly Human] empire dominating 40% of their continent from the South, up, but controlling most of the resources of that continent.
-The Vord Empire, a medium sized [Chiefly human, but containing more Orcs than any other Empire] empire, controlling 100% of habitable land on their home continent and a significant part of it that is considered uninhabitable by others.
-The El’Tulari empire, a medium sized, [Chiefly Elven] empire, and one of the few to be alone on its home continent, dominating 100% of the habitable land on its home continent.
-The Nirden empire, the smallest empire by population in the world [Chiefly Dwarven] sharing a continent with the Vesh Empire, dominating 30% of the habitable land [in addition to much of the mountain land thought unhabitable to the other empire.]
-The Tl’ym, a small [Chiefly Halfling] empire dominating about 70% of their home continent, which they share with the Raile.
-The Raile, a tiny [Chiefly Gnome] empire dominating about 30% of their home continent, which they share with the Tl’ym, but supplying much of the technological advancements of the world.

Well Known Rumours
-An elderly monk of unknown name and ethnic origins is rumoured to walk the land, righting wrongs and toppling dictators, but always disappearing afterwards.
-Mostiatas is rumoured to live among the Elves as a an aristocrat favoured by the Elven King.
-In the middle of the Emperors Sea in the center of the Vesh home continent there is rumoured to be a powerful mage who can bend the storms to his will as easily as another man bends straw located on a small island.
-The Raile are rumoured to have strange and powerful weapons hidden cunningly beneath their lands.
-In the Veshen Citadel there is rumoured to be a powerful vigilante exacting justice by the Law, who calls himself the Guardsman.

Empire Descriptions [In order of military power]
Vesh [Tends towards Lawful] [Monarchy]
The Vesh are a Rome-like empire, whose constant expansion is now only kept in check by the threat that is posed to them if all of the other factions unite against them, which they have threatened to do if they continues their relentless growth. The Vesh’ military power is contested only by the Liberating Alliance, and even then the Vesh would most probably succeed.. The Vesh are expansionist in the extreme, and are on the verge of starting a World War. Vesh society is strongly class based, the higher classes having significant advantages over the lower classes. Rising in class is an almost impossible enterprise, but it has happened. (The exceptions to this are: Slaves can be freed after 2-5 years service to become Commoners and Commoners can purchase Citizenship for their family for 1000gp and for themselves for 100gp or one and a half years army service. This ensures that only the richest or those who go in the army rise in class). Religion, while certainly a major part of Vesh society, is nowhere near the fanatical religious fervor that is the norm' in the Liberating Alliance.

Appearance: Veshen from their home continent are usually pale, it being the fashion at this time to have light skin. Veshen tend towards blue eyes, producing shades of blue in their citizens eyes that other races have never experienced. Extremely light blue eyes are considered lucky and good, [A further +1 on all social checks against normal Veshen citizens, but -2 on disguise checks to conceal Veshen heritage.] Veshen lower classes usually have short hair, and the higher classes usually have long hair. The Veshen royal line rules by their posession of the Crown Jewels, the ancient set of valuables that entitle their wielder to the throne. In theory, anyone of any Class could rule the country, given posession of the jewels.

Dialect: Vesh dialect is mainly uniform, those who have not lived among the Vesh may find their method of speaking to be short, and the Veshen themselves to be quite taciturn when speech is not required. Almost all Veshen speak common [99%], (excepting slaves) but only when required to, viewing it as a distasteful language with foreign elements, preferring their own language. [+1 on all social checks [some exceptions] when using Speak Language: Veshen, but -1 on all social checks [some exceptions] when using common.

Bonuses: +1 on all social checks against normal Veshen citizens[Veshen are more inclined to trust their own.]
Penalties: -1 on all social checks made with outsiders. [Veshen are mistrusted and often hated among other lands due to their invasion of many lands and their repression of native languages and cultures.]

Social Ladder and Officeholders.

Where it says [Requires Knowledge: [Knowledge Type] it means that to know information about more examples knowledge of that type must have a certain modifier. [Those interested can ask me what they're characters modifiers glean. 5 Ranks in any knowledge type will give you bonuses when using social skills on that type. [E.G Knowledge: Religion 5 Ranks might give you a +2 bonus to Bluff checks to convince Priests of something.] For Monarchs, everyone in the world would know that, and for Royalty, most would know that as well. Say a +1 modifier for Knowledge: Nobles and Nobility would give you that.]

-Monarch
[Emperor Emdyndan Tetasenth II, who succeeded the throne after the untimely death of his father from illness 8 years ago. 31 year old, LN, Male Human Arc18/Ftr3. Emdyndan is constantly seeking to expand his empire, and is completely ruthless in this regard, but had a sharp mind and runs the country effectively and orderly. When matters of state pile up too greatly he often departs to spend his time with his younger brother Blaundem.]
-Royalty
[Blaundem Tetasenth I, the younger brother of Rall, 28 Year Old, LG Male Human Arc12. Blaundem is a kind, reserved boy for whom seemingly the throne has no interest. He lives in a country manor far from the Citadel and spends his time writing poetry, philosophy, and engaging in games of wit and intellect with other nobles.]
[Mostiatas Tetasenth I, the youngest of the Tetasenth family, 27 Year Old, NE Female Human Src11/Arc6. Mostiatas is a scheming, cunning woman who always thought she would be able to run the country a great deal better than Emdyndan's father. 4 years ago she attempted a coup, [See Exalted Guardians] but it was repelled and she was chased out of the Citadel. Optimists say she is dead but is officially presumed alive, although she hasn't been seen since she attempted the coup. She has a bounty on her head of 5,000 gold pieces, doubled if she is caught alive, which is still active.
-Church Leader
[Kimverum Adachtur, LN Male Human, Mnk14/Evangalist 9 Age 61, is the Chapter Priest Lord of Vesh. It is his responsibility to keep the church leaders in check, to police the High Church Followers and to represent the Churches will. He is not a Cleric himself so as to prevent accusations of prejudice or bias, and rules as his duty commands, always putting the nation and the Gods first.]

It is well known that Mostiatas attemted a coup some time ago. her own trained mercenaries and assassins charging the palace and killing all they found. The Kings Guard fought bravely and to the death, eagerly giving up their lives for the king and the coup was barely repelled at the cost of about 90% of the Kings Guard. The King bestowed upon them the highest honours he could possibly give them, and the first chapter of the Exalted Guardians was formed. It is the highest honour a warrior can aspire to, to become one of the Exalted Guardians, and the First Chapter Members of the Exalted Guardians have power equal to that of some of the Greater Nobles.

[The Enlightening Philosophy: [Translated and Summarised Excerpt from the Dawtan, primary religious text: In the beginning, there was darkness. And Tyl [Blessings be upon him] saw this and was displeased. And so Tyl [Blessings be upon him] created light. Thus, the universe was enlightened. Tyl [Blessings be upon him] looked at the universe and said in heavenly tones, his voice like a choir of angels; "I shall create." Tyl [Blessings be upon him] created the first Laws. Tyl [Blessings be upon him] made the laws which governed the universe, building [untranslatable, assumed 'planes'] and He was pleased. Tyl [Blessings be upon him] then created his masterpiece, the World. It was bare, and so Tyl [Blessings be upon him] created the lands and oceans of the world. Looking over his creation, Tyl [Blessings be upon him] knew that this would all go to waste if there was no-one but him [eminent as he was] to appreciate it. So Tyl [Blessings be upon him] moulded animals from the clay of his new Earth and infused them with his greatest gift, the breath of life. And Tyl [Blessings be upon him] laboured and many days later finished the last animal. He went to the monkey, and said unto it; "Is the world not beautiful?", but the monkey answered only with grunts. Tly [Blessings be upon him] was displeased with this, and said "Clearly you have no appreciation for the gift I have given you." And so Tyl [Blessings be upon him] went to all the animals and asked them his question, and they all answered in base noises. Tyl [Blessings be upon him] thought on this, and said "Clearly only I can appreciate this beauty. I must make an animal in my own image." And so Tyl [Blessings be upon him] laboured for many days and many nights, until he had created Man.
[A greater Knowledge: Religion skill level is required to read further.]

The Liberating Alliance [Tends towards Lawful] [Theocracy]
A coalition of the Gesstii and Hezzhen empires under one religious philosophy, the liberating alliance is perhaps the sole faction that could approach the Veshen empire in military power. What their armies lack in order and equipment they more than make up for in religious fervour and brutal tactics. Their generals range from ruthless commanders hardened by vicious physical and mental training from birth mercilessly and surgically striking strategic points, massacring, burning and razing entire towns without batting an eyelid to charismatic priests who have gathered a fanatical following whose sole battle tactic is an insanely suicidal charge in unbelievable numbers by troops who spend every day training to get to peak physical perfection and fed on promises of redemption for the dead and glory for the living, turned into insane monsters by drugs that destroy reason and dull pain and fear to nothing, slaughtering everything in their path until they are all slain. Vesh society is permeated utterly with religion, from their supreme Lords absolute power through religion to the small prayer that must be said to Tyl before going to bed and before waking up. The Gesstii tend to be more fierce, producing more strong people than intelligent ones, as many live in the harsh jungles of their homeland. The Hezzhen tend to be more reserved and cunning, and before they were allied, prevented many invasions through tactical use of the continents natural resources, of which they control roughly 85%. The Hezzhen produce more Clerics and Adepts than any other race, and are often more fanatical than the Gesstii, although they tend less towards genocidal 'cleansing' than the Gesstii

Appearance [Gesstii]: The Gesstii tend to be tanned, as they dominate much of the harsher and more inhospitable land than the Hezzhen. Gesstii tend to be tall, muscular and fierce looking. Almost all Gesstii cut their hair back or even shave it off altogether and they tend towards brown eyes.

Favoured Class [Gesstii]: Fighter

Dialect [Gesstii]: Gesstii speech tends to not be overlong as Gesstii usually are not fond of pretty wordplay and speeches. Most Gesstii speak common, [80%] but all speak the language of their God's text, known as 'Ll'honet'.

Gesstii gain +1 on all social checks to influence their own race, [Synergy, +2 if 5 ranks in Knowledge: Liberating Religion]

Appearance [Hezzhen]: The Hezzhen tend towards no particular skin tone, and they are usually thin and taller than other races. Hezzhen prefer to keep their hair long and tend towards blue eyes.

Favoured Class [Hezzhen]: Cleric

Dialect [Hezzhen]; The Hezzhen speak more softly than other humans, and are more skilled in the Oratory arts than others as well.
