He squinted at the sun. Leareth was pretty sure he was going the right direction, having followed the sun for a good portion of the day.
Yet nothing looked familiar, up to the very tall grass blocking out everything in sight but the clouds floating over the sky and the tips of scattered tree branches. Stupid plains, now he remembered why he preferred the beachside (not to mention kicking crabs was fun).
The 'L' word was now nagging in his head, but his pride refused to acknowledge it. With a snort and angry flick of his tail, he plowed head-first into the grass, making a beeline for what he thought was the mountains. Mountains were always north right?
Of course there was nothing wrong with getting lost, Leareth had been lost for a whole week before he had found his teepee once. It was rather the fact that err... well... he had promised to meet his mate there. And he was pretty sure she had a better sense of direction than him.
'You are so Lost', his inner voice finally said, rather smugly.
'Shut up voice.' He retorted to himself. The stupid thing just had to be right didn't it.
