So then.
For those that don't know... there is a book out there by a "Lupa", as in her name as she introduces herself is Lupa, and the book is by the title A Field Guide to Otherkin.
This book is as the title suggests... more so the book is a compilation of data from surveys, various books with similar subjects, and then internet sources.
(It's a bit lacking in dragons and kitsune... I found. Plus I can't stand the part on elves... the book as a whole though is excellent in my opinion.)
Alright... that is the "Field Guide" part of the title you might state... but then what is the "found in field?"
I was reading this book at work because I had stopped reading it for quite some time, and there was some other book that inspired me to start reading again. So... yes, I was reading it...
When not reading the book I leave it somewhere I can easily find it... usually near my water bottle, so the water bottle is in sight... oh there's the book.

Well... as such, someone else is bound to find the book out there in the open.
There's been five people that have seen the book...
1. "That's some crazy s**t." This guy is what I truly call a co worker... not just another person working there. He's in the same section of where I work, and upon seeing the book and reading the back, that was his comment. Later on I had asked him about wanting to read it... he referred to it as "the wolf people" and then said he was working on some other book. He did ask me some questions... like what it was about (interviews and data from various sources), and if I learned anything from it (some stuff I did know... some I didn't).
2. Saw just the cover and she made a comment of reading books like that before. She possibly didn't read the back... and doesn't have an interest in reading the book because she thinks it'll get her hooked on reading again which she can't afford, sadly.
3. Saw the book... just the cover... and was asking what the seven pointed star meant on it. Probably would have been best to just avoid letting him see that book in the first place as was my first impression when he asked what I was reading. He seemed... slightly disturbed by it. (I also heard mention of him believing the place we work is haunted... and then him talking about werewolves and such like that... so...)
4. "Huh.... huh..." Was the response to the cover then the back. He agreed with the "crazy s**t" statement earlier. He also initiated a joking session with Mr. Five coming up about "being an elf."
5. This is interesting...
This guy sees Lupa's other book that came before Field Guide... Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone, and he looked that book over... and he said "cool" to it. I managed to let him take a look at the Field Guide... he was looking it over as we went, when we started the conversation about "are you an elf?" The guy's response was "more of an orc" or something like that. There was a bit more... and I was laughing the whole time because of how silly it was...
But... but... this guy wanted to read it. I don't know if he thought I was giving it to him to read or not... but... he said he would return it... and so I just offered my book mark for him to use, explaining I had read it once through already.
I don't know what the reaction will be... or what will come of it. Just him willing to read it from the excerpt or whatnot on the back? Brave move.
