You Are A: I'm not convinced by the Sorcerer bit, but you know... I'm flexible. We'll just go with it. And I think the stats are a little generous for that level, but I won't complain about that. ;]

Chaotic Neutral Half-Elf Sorcerer (4th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 15
Dexterity- 13
Constitution- 14
Intelligence- 15
Wisdom- 14
Charisma- 15

Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Race:
Half-Elves have the curiosity and ambition for their human parent and the refined senses and love of nature of their elven parent, although they are outsiders among both cultures. To humans, half-elves are paler, fairer and smoother-skinned than their human parents, but their actual skin tones and other details vary just as human features do. Half-elves tend to have green, elven eyes. They live to about 180.

Class:
Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

I Am A: Neutral Good Human Wizard/Sorcerer (2nd/1st Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-11
Dexterity-12
Constitution-12
Intelligence-13
Wisdom-12
Charisma-12

Alignment:
Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Secondary Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. You Are A:

Neutral Good Human Druid/Wizard (2nd/2nd Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 16
Dexterity- 15
Constitution- 15
Intelligence- 18
Wisdom- 18
Charisma- 13

Alignment:
Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Secondary Class:
Wizards- Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. Neither the Druid not the Wizard outcome surprise me, though it is a mighty strange combo... wink I'd also like to stress that I almost ended up true neutral, which is actually the alignment I RP most times. I go both ways. wink

*shrugs* I finished school with a computed 0.9 overall, where the best possible grade to get is a 1.0. I'm pretty sure I can kill somebody with only my hands and feet if needed be, though to date, I merely smashed some 5cm (three inch?) thick wooden panes for exercise. I'm rather old, so I guess they added that to my wisdom stats. Otherwise, I mostly chose average, other than when it came to physical traits, because I am taller and more broadly built than the average female. A lot, actually.
Weren't you the one ranting about false modesty? wink
PostPosted: Sun Dec 16, 2007 6:33 am

Uh, I don't recall, but I might have?

And this wasn't only pertaining to females. In most cases it said 'Than most people I know'.

That's about two inches.

And yeah, a lot of people could kill someone with just their hands, but most of them aren't going to do it with one blow. At least not if the other person's trying to defend themselves. *Shrug*

The grades thing, awesome, but you're working with scientists, physicists, generally brilliant sorts of people, I should imagine. Aren't some of them comparable? We've got to look past what your grades say, and more at what your peers can do. Because suppose everyone you're working with now manages/ed the same sorts of marks, it's not saying much.

That'd be like me getting decent grades in school then going to work for nasa, los alamos, the CIA or someplace where EVERYONE managed at least as well as I did AND went to better schools.

Either way, the stats are way to high for 4th level.

And I still have the best alignment. ninja

Well, to me, it appeared to say "compared to the average" more often than "people I know", and the latter means *all* the people I know, -including all the jocks and idiots from back in school- not who I hang out with most the time. So what if you're the least intelligent rocket scientist in your peer group, you're still a lot more intelligent than the rest of the people around you, or else you wouldn't be a rocket scientist, right?
And now I'm done defending my apparent hubris. razz

*smiles* Of course you do.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 16, 2007 6:46 am

Hum. I usually pretend I don't know those sorts of people.
XD

I guess I'd have been a little more generous then, had I been thinking about it that way. I guess I am more modest than I realized. razz

But nah, I don't pretend to be smart or wise, or any of that crap. I think the stats it gave me are way too generous as it is. *Shrug*

I was surprised my stats came out as high, too, but then again, in the old system of D&D (2.0), the one which we used, the stats were not increased with level as they are now but stayed as they are, only to be bettered with artifacts or other high-level items. To get the stats, one threw 4d6 and discarded the lowest throw... house rule was that everything under a 10 was eligible for a re-throw, with the result being averaged with the first throw. Thus, we ended up with stats around 10-15, and some got lucky to get even better... which was good, or else one would have never gotten to be a Druid (my fav class) or a Paladin, because those required to waste a 15 or better on Charisma.

And yes... I don't think of me as that, either... If you want to, I have a story to tell there, but I don't want to do this coram publicam... it is too personal.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 16, 2007 7:03 am

Well I'm expecting PMs anyway, so I'll be checking them.

I'm playing a Druid currently. I don't really care for D&D, but it's a class I haven't tried before, so it's been interesting enough. And yeah, a lot of people still do it the same way, but my friends usually use point buy to keep things more even or let you give yourself weaknesses. It's fun to play a character with an 8 or even lower in some stat.

I think I'll play a paladin if I kill the druid off. Playing a religious character is a challenge. I have to remember to be religiouslike. xD

I have to run in a bit 'cause we're invited to meet a couple of friends... I'll PM you tomorrow.

And yes, I'm absolutely convinced you'd make a smashing Grand Inquisitor, DEOM.

*is bowled over by the Monty-Python troupe all decked out in bishoply purple* "Hah! No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

P.S.: Too bad we cannot actually meet for a D&D-session... I'd love to see how a party of the characters we got from the test would work out... *shudders* then again, probably not.
