No, I shouldn't direct link, but I'm lazy. And that brought back the memories.

*sigh* And there goes another perfectly serviceable scroll of resurrection to hell in a handbasket. *reads it* Arise! Really, Pat, you should finally consider that some people actually die forever.
So you explored your past lives via hypnotherapy, I presume?

It's a reference to the 80s game Gauntlet. It was the stupidest game ever, but I loved it when I was a kid.
Your health was determined by the amount of food you found, so it would constantly be informing you that the character needed food. Or if you played the arcade version, you could feed it quarters to get more health.
But eh, it's not really funny unless you liked the game like I did.

My dad got it, and he slapped me on the back of the head for not getting it, even though I've never played the game and have no reason to get it. That just goes to show that some nerds don't like nerds who don't have their sense of humor.

Huh... I remember Gauntlet 3, but I don't think that that one yells at you to get more food when your health gets low...

I don't get the joke because I've never played Gauntlet, but it made me laugh nonetheless because my imagination is stupid.
"Yeah, well next time a dragon attacks your town you can kiss your a** goodbye!"
...m'sorry.
