So there are great movies and there are silly movies. I want to know your favorite silly movies. Movies that aren't necessarily great or have anything to offer to the world other than being fun to watch.

Here are some of my favorites:
-The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
-Tank Girl
-Any Monty Python Movie
-The Birdcage

I'd hardly say Monty Python was 'silly' instead of great. Monty Python is comedy, and while it does have its silly moments, I'd argue that it has more to offer the world than just being fun to watch.

That's true, I suppose. Satire is great for being more than silly. Still...

But I do think that something just being fun is a good thing for the world (think of the line from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?").

A couple of silly movies I have greatly enjoyed over the years...

Toxic Avenger. Wow. Seems like forever ago when I watched it, yet good, funny stuff.
Eight Legged Freaks. I hate spiders. I see one, I squish it. Yet this movie had me laughing out loud so many times.
The Emperor's New Groove. One of the few Disney movies that has been put out in the last 15 years or so that I liked. And it has Patrick Warburton. The man is a comedic genius.

I agree with you on Patrick Warburton. That guy is amazing. I love Emperor's New Groove. Great silly movie. biggrin
