Just wondering what size scout groups you guys have over in the states. At the group im currently with we have 100+ members, we have so many cubs and beavers that they are split into 2 groups each with 20-25 beavers, the same with the cubs, and the scout section has 16-20 scouts with 3-6 cubs coming up throughout this year, so what size groups do you have over there, and how often do you guys meet, over here its once a week.
Sorry for so many questions, just ive never really been able to find scouts from the USA or anywhere else for that matter who really wanna talk bout this kinda stuff.

i'm 19, and an assistant scoutmaster in a boyscout troop,
our troop (ages 10-18 ) has about 30-40 scouts registered and theyre in patrols of about 8 each,
our cubscout pack (ages 6-10) has probably around 50, grouped by age or year in school,
troops here normally dont go over 50 scouts and packs normally dont have more than 80-100,
after that, they normally split into two separate groups
the area they occupy depends on population, where i live, troops cover one or two towns, but in more populated areas, there can be as many as 4 or 5 in a town,
i'm not sure how big an area your troops cover, and if they have a bigger range of ages (what would be cubs and boyscouts for us)
we also have Venturing, which is 14-21 and coed,
their groups are much smaller, and the program is much more a social group and doing things because of interest or fun, compared to working on awards and ranks in cub and boyscouting

Well, I feel small. My troop of junior/senior girlscouts come to the grand total of 7.

Dont worry prettypaws2000 its better to have few scouts then have none at all, anyways I used to be part of a group who only had 8 scouts and it was great fun, so size isnt always everything hehe =P

prettypaws2000 Well, I feel small. My troop of junior/senior girlscouts come to the grand total of 7. dont feel too bad, my sister is in seniors and they only have 3, meeting infrequently when time allows, around all the activities that the 3 of them participate in. it seems pretty normal for a girlscout troop of that age to be that big, my other sister is in cadettes and i think they have about 8, 5 or 6 active.

I understand that you want people to vote for you, but please don't spam the threads. As for my troop, we have 50 total. We get scouts from all the Cub Scout Packs around us and there are tons of troops in and around the city I live in.

In the US the Cub Scout Packs and the Boy Scout Troops don't meet together and their counts are not counted together. 3nodding
In the Troop I work with we just rechartered with 13 youth. and 10 Adults.
We will be getting about 9 new boys bridging up from the Webelos groups in town. lol
In our town we have about 2 troops and 3 packs. We use to have 6 troops and 4 packs in town. Ours is one of the few to still be around. sweatdrop

my troop is specal to me because they are all from my school. we are new about 4 years and there are about 16 people in our troop.

28 scouts and 13 adults which 6 or 7 are scout masters. But the church is small.
