I like White Wolf's: World of Darkness. Its a game similar to D&D only it takes place more in modern times AND the system is a d10 system that is very simple to use that I played it pretty well when I was in the 6th grade. World Of darkness isn't just one game but a series of different games like Vampire the Masquerade and Mage the Ascension. Well thats my favorite table top RPG other then DnD. My very favorite RPG level system for a game would have to come from Final Fantasy 2, best storyline: Final fantasy 6, Best combat system would be Final Fantasy 12 (as you can tell im a final fantasy freak)
So what is YOUR favorite RPG other then D&D

Hm. I'd have to say Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite RPGs. And I'd have to go with Final Fantasy 6 as well. That game was fun.
Lets see...well I dunno if this is categorized as an Action/Adventure or and RPG or both, but I do enjoy the Zelda series as well. D: Probably not really considered an RPG maybe. Hm...
I'm certainly sure that I have more RPGs I like, but seeing that my brain is about to explode from modeling a character in Maya, I'll refrain from thinking too much.

I love Shadowrun, the cyberpunk series. D6 system and disutopian future make it an awesome pnp game. Iron Kingdoms brings Warmachine to the D20 system, and is, in my opinion, one of the best campaign settings around.
As far as console games are concerned, I love Mass Effect (which I beat recently), but FFIX will always have a place in my heart. The Suikoden series is always a fun play (excluding IV), and most Final Fantasy games are decent to say the least. DragonQuest games are always fun, though I tire of stationary turn based battle system. With games like the Tales series and Eternal Sonata adapting and changing it, the regular turn based battle system just seems old and outdated. Thankfully, it seems that it's being phased out.
Then there's tactics games. Games like Disgaea just make everything seem better around the world.
Just my honest to God opinion, of course. No guarantee you'll enjoy any of the aformentioned games, but I'd bet a pretty penny that anyone could pick them up and be happy.

Other real rpg's?
I've always wanted to try modern d20 but just haven't gotten to borrowing books from friends XD
But character Law has to be one of my favorites, other than that anything can kill anything {ex: wooh I'm level 50! *goblin pokes* Jo head a'splode! *sad player* ;-;} It's very chart/percentile based.
Vg: Final fantasy's good, but really not much of an rpg, more of a strategy choose your own combat, but not adventure
Kotor is definitely one of my favorites as it uses the d20 system and you actually choose a path, the first one was really limited, but the second was REALLY open storyline wise, although it still had that "you'll end up aboot here" thing, maybe they just need one more chance (kotor III anyone? :3)
Tabletop (non rpg): I know they aren't rpgs, but I really like them anyways warhammer/warhammer 40k are both really fun,
And one that noone I know has even heard of is De Bellis Multitudinis, usually referred to as DBM, pretty much it's really annoying to get the books, but it's rather realistic historical war reenactments, and it's never anything recent or that was unlikely to happen, so you wouldn't have 2000b.c. army fighting against 1500b.c. army, it's set in time periods of 3000b.c to 1485 A.D. and it's just an amazing game (though difficult to start)

Vampire: the Masquerade comes to mind. The LARP, not the tabletop. My avatar and my character look similar (though not quite on par). The dark gryphon is there just for kicks.
I also enjoy Pokemon, Magi-Nation, and Golden Sun, to name a few.

D20 Modern is fun, and so is Call of Cthulu and Cthulu Mythos. i have a setting for D20 Modern called Dark Matter: Shades of Grey.
i also love all the Spyro games, LOTR: The Third Age, and FFVII, VII: Crisis Core, VII: Dirge of Cerberus, VIII, X, X-2, XI, XII, XIII and XIII: Versus. also, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and other Baldur's Gate games, and the MMOs Guild Wars and Lineage 2, as well as Elder Scrolls games, Fable and Fable 2.
but other than RPGs, i also enjoy city simulation games, particularly of teh conquest/domination type. those are my weakness. Age of Empires (my favourite is the origional), Rome: Total War, The Sims, etcetera.
