Ok so I was just wodnering if anyone has mid-state honor band like here in Tennessee and if so then did you make it? If so then what did music did you play and what instrument?
I made it (middle school silver band on clarinet and oboe.)
I decided to play my clarinet and we played the following peices.
1. Courage 2. Hillcrest Pageant 3. May It Be 4. Crystal Moon 5. Selections from The Lion King.
Mid-State was amzing and the friends I made are unforgetable.

For us, Its upper state Yes I made it ( i had my performance today, actually) We played Psalm 42, + Ascend, + the first movement of the english folksong suite, every time you tell their story, + and some latin name I cant recall + (one started with an N and another L)
Our conductor was the composer of the pieces marked with +
And I was seated seventh chair trumpet, so I was firct chair second trumpet (which I had never heard that type of title used before yesterday)

I made it into SCIBA (South Central Iowa Bandmaster's Association) on tuba. I was nervous, because I heard some pretty good tubists at the auditions. The performance got cancelled because of a big snowstorm the night before, though.
