Welcome to the Patch's Neverland Event! This is a special roleplay competition where you have the chance to win one of several children, or a permanent NPC on the island! Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to create a character on Neverland and impress us with your roleplay skill and activity. You have four options as to the character you can play in the event: Lost Child, Feien, Mermaid, or Pirate! Read on to learn more and see the fabulous prizes! Want the skinny on how to get started? Here it is! 1. Read the setting information and type up a (BRIEF) character description. Post this description in the Character Profiles thread. 2. Wait for a PM informing you your character has been approved. If your PMs are disabled, you'll have to check the Profiles thread. When your character name is listed on the first post there, you're ready to move ahead! 3. Start an RP, join an RP, plan an RP, or make a diary thread! Please try to be as active as you can in the forum so that the judges can see it. We'll be watching!

Event Rules
1. You may have one "main" character in the event and two "NPCs" -- friends, family, or other minor characters associated with your main.
2. The main shop and Gaia rules apply.
3. No discouraging other entrants!
4. Please tag your threads with [OPEN] [PRP] [OOC] or [DIARY] so others know if they may post or not! (And contest organizers can keep track of what's what.)
5. Diary threads are optional, but if you intend to do a lot of solo RPs or just want to keep track of all your stuff in one place, a diary thread is recommended.
6. You may not roleplay with/use existing Patch children in this event. At this point in time, communication and travel between Neverland and Gaia is forbidden. This may change after the end of the event.
7. Existing owners may enter, of course, but be sure to follow rule 6! There will be no favoritism on the part of the judges for current owners. May the best roleplayers win!
8. DON'T IM/PM QUESTIONS TO EM. It's more helpful to everyone in the contest if your questions are public.
9. This should go without saying because it's a main shop rule, but DON'T PM THE ARTISTS.
Helpful Hints
1. Be positive! We love to see enthusiastic roleplayers that try their hardest.
2. Check your work. We know everyone can't be perfect, but we like to see effort! Reread your post before pushing submit.
3. Roleplay with a variety of people. We want to see how your character interacts in different situations and dealing with different people.
4. Enjoy yourself! Roleplay should be fun, after all.

Prizes There are two kinds of prize available in this competition, and you're allowed to try for both! First, we have regular, growing Patch children by our staff artists. If you're the winner of one of these children, you have the option of using your child on Neverland or in the main setting on Gaia. If you are entering for a child, you may use the child you are entering for as your contest character, but you don't -have- to! You will be judged mostly by your activity, whether or not you play as the child you would like to win is immaterial. Cecelia Drawn by guest artist Ebony Dragon, Cecelia is being rehomed in this event! Help us give our little elf girl a happy new home. Players interested in Cecelia might wish to read the journal of her previous guardian. If you wish to try for Cecelia and use her as your contest entry character, you must use a different name! We can't very well have multiple elf girls named Cecelia running around. You will be expected to keep her real name if you win. Wendy For our Neverland theme, Natsube is offering this predrawn child based on the beloved character of Wendy from the Peter Pan stories! Watch this area for more previews of her stages as they become available. Toodles Joining our family here at the Patch is Bluekoinu! Her first Patch child is based on the character of Toodles from the Peter Pan series! This adorable little boy may be lost, but with any luck he'll soon have a happy home. Valentine This adorably angelic little girl by Oh!1945/Tittri joins us during the most romantic month of the year, February! Fox Boy Also brought to us by Oh!1945/Tittri, this adorable little lost fox boy is looking for a loving family and a happy home! Jack Sparrow Arr! Are ye feelin' that piratey Neverland spirit? Then you might be interested in becoming the new caretaker of our resident Jack Sparrow cosplay, Napoleon! As with Cecelia, if you wish to enter for and play as Napoleon, you must use a different name for your character during this event. Second, whether you win one of the main children or not, you have the chance to win official NPC art of the character(s) you create in this event! Your character will then become an official NPC of the Neverland setting, yours to play with for as long as you like! The NPC images work a little differently than regular prizes. Our judges will evaluate your roleplay, and if you qualify, you will be added to a list of semifinalists. The artists participating then have the option of offering you one of their slots. The price of the slot depends on the artist, and artists set their own prices. Confirmed artists: romesilk, ???

#1: Lost ChildWant to roam freely, but still have someone to look after you? Still like a little structure in your life? Well, then I'd say you're a dead ringer for a Lost Child! Lost Children are the creations of Dr. Akari's rogue cabbages. They live in a huge, hollow tree called the Treehut; they mostly run wild about the island. Their leader is Ahja, who is the oldest child. As a Lost Child, you can be a baby or a child. And, for that matter, you can roleplay as the character you would like to play if you win! Roleplaying as one of these children will give you the chance to win one of the growing cabbage children or to win a one-stage child modeled after your NPC... or both! There may be an unlimited amount of Lost Children. Lost Child Form Lost Child ApplicationName: Age: Toddler/Child Brief History: Brief Personality: Physical Description:

#2: Feien FairyThese are the fairies that were here long before the rogue cabbages were even a light in someone's eye. There are three main cities of feien: Selador, Argos, and Kerizan; each of them is situated around a Great Tree into which is carved the history of the particular city. These cities are located high in the branches of trees and are lit with rare glowflower bulbs. Like the other classes, through roleplay you can get single-stage art of your character, and you have the potential to win one of the main event children. When creating a Feien, you should follow these guidelines: Feien can have a large variety of careers. These include, but are not limited to: hunter, crafter (NOT artificer), healer, grower, brewer, beekeeper, guard, harvester, trainer, poet, historian, musician, clothesmaker, and chef! The following occupations may NOT be used without special GM permission: Hawkrider, Lescan Guardian, Artificer, Council Member, or Summoner. All feien possess the spell of Flight, and you may choose four additional spells: Light, Darkvision, Zap, Stoneskin, Healing, Warm Blood, Cold Blood, Telepathy, Acute Senses, Lightning Reflexes, Invisibility, Detect Magic, Sense Motive, Charm Animal, Shield, or Super Shout. Now, if you're still with us, you can choose a Bonus Pack! These give your feien special advantages or items. Bonus Pack A will give you increased magical ability. You will recieve three additional spells based on your original four spell choices and character concept. Bonus Pack B will allow your feien a mount or pet, chosen from common bird species, a frog or toad, a squirrel, or an insect of your choice! Bonus Pack C will allow your feien an artifact based on your feien's chosen occupation. There may be as many fairies as Lost Children, but not more! Priority given to owners of existing feien. #3: MermaidThis pure female race spends their days suntanning and chattering out in the Mermaid's Cove, before retiring to the Mermaid's Parlor at night. If you adore beauty and being beautiful, then you just might be a mermaid! Mermaids can only be female; they can all breathe under the water and converse with fish (not that all fish have something worthwhile to say). They can be any age from children to adults, too. Just like the others on the island, roleplay and activity can earn you a single-stage piece of art of your Neverland NPC, the chance to win one of the main event children, or both! There can be one mermaid for every two lost children. Mermaid Form Mermaid ApplicationName: Age: Brief History: Brief Personality: Physical Description:

#4: PirateArrr! Love the briny seas and hate rules? Then it's a pirate you be! The pirates live in the Jolly Rodger with the captain, Tock. Pirates are Lost Children who broke off from the main group. They live life a bit more dangerously, with less rules and more playing. They stick together, though, because those jungles can be dangerous! They hate mermaids, but crave mermaid treasures. Pirates can be children or babies. Like the Lost Children, you can roleplay as the child you would like to win in the event, or roleplay as a different, piratey character with the potential to win NPC art! There can be one pirate for every two Lost Children. Pirate Form Pirate ApplicationName: Age: Toddler/Child Brief History: Brief Personality: Physical Description:
