I've read a few of Masamune Shirow's Appleseed and noticed a couple of similar things related to the "Swat* or "Eswat" in this case, within Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Do they have anything to do with eachother? If you notice, the police in ghost in the shell, they resemble the EPolice from Appleseed. I just thought that would be extremely interesting~ Briarios meeting Batou, Deunan meeting the Major. How cool is that?

nope, tow different settings. from what i saw and read the Appleseed bookes tkae place in a city called Gaia. its in an apocalyptic type world. were as ghost takes place in future japan. if u ever buy Shirows Intron Depot books, they are his art books, ull see that alot of his works, alot not posted in america. have a lot in common. hell design something for one sotry then scrap it then use it in another story

I only liked the remake of appleseed, you know the CG one. They are very alike and on wikipedia they say the two series share a similar backstroy so they may be losely related.

Gaia is the supercomputer that runs the city.
