Oh, but there are so many songs that I associate with my work...I usually place a song alonside a plot element, or the way certain characters interact (indicating the type of relationship between them). But there is one song that really fits my protagonist toward the end of one of my works. It's "Until the End" by Breaking Benjamin. She doesn't realize that she's being manipulated until the story draws to a close, and she's finally able to break away from it and make her own life. =^_^=

When I wrote a couple of parts, I thought of the song "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence. The irony is, my protagonist is wearing a mask, tricking another character into thinking she's someone she isn't; and then later, she finds an enemy who does the same thing to one of her friends. The difference between them is the manner in which they come clean. And I'm just rambling because I'm bored. Cheers. =^_^=

Well, I've always imagined my story someday becoming a manga, or anime. [I doubt it, but hey, a girl can dream right?]
Anyways. I feel that the opening song would have to be Genchou by Despair'sRay. The ending song would be Because I'm a Woman by Kiss. It's funny because one is Japanese and the other is Korean. xD
But Amaya's theme song would be Sakurairo MauKORO by Mika Nakashima. In the second book it would be Hi no Tori, also by Mika Nakashima.
Demetrious's theme song from the first book would be Lust for Blood by Gackt. In the second book it would be The Haunting - Somewhere in Time by Kamelot.
Alexis' theme would be Crucify my Love by X Japan. In the second book it would be M by Ayumi Hamasaki.
Silos' theme would be Wander by Kamelot and the reversed version of Hello by Evanescence.

The other story I'm working on would definitely work well with the songs "Whisper" and "All That I'm Living For" by Evanescence. The music that I listen to definitely has a great impact on my work. ^_^;;

Hurray! I'm finally here!
My theme would have to be "Wasabi" by Lee Harding.
"Just like wasabi; looks like a Barbie; she just too hot for me".
"...and all she really wants is to do it with me - WASAAABIIIIIIIIIIIII - so damn hot you're brain's gunna blow".
My character's theme, that is. Kaira's supposed to be a super gorgeous girl, who while she could have any male she wanted, she only wants her best friend. But that's because she's only just a spirit (she kinda died), and I'm going on the theory that all spirits have one thing they obsess over until they're either put to rest, destroyed or reborn.
Anyhow, you Americans may not know of Lee Harding. He's an Australian artist.

I don't have just one song as a theme song to my stories, but I do end up using Breaking Benjamin and Dir en Grey a lot. Evil Angel and Breath from BB, mostly, and The Final is used more than any other song, by DeG.

One of my characters, Dawn, has an odd theme song. She's a girly girl in all sense of the term, and yet her song is Phenomenon by Thousand foot Krutch.... Its even funnier when her hyper active brother's theme is Lithium xP

I do the same thing! I have playlists in my iTunes for the different moods throughout the text. My main character doesn't have a theme song, simply because she's fairly far off the deep end. She changes so dramatically in an instant, and has several "personalities" (not in the multiple-personality way, but more of a schizophrenic "voices"), making it hard to label her.

I listen to music while I write, but I usually don't have specific theme songs for my characters. I did try to write a story themed on a song last year; "Natural Science" by Rush. 3nodding
