Hello, I know I am new to this guild but this has been irritating me to know end. If this guild is dedicated to a naturally logical type of thinkers, us aspies, than how is making a private guild to educate the public logical? This doesn't make any sense at all. If we are going to spread awareness, than we should start by educating the general populace. Otherwise this is nothing more than a club for aspies (and as much as I like other aspies, I would feel much better about educating others who are naiive to this syndrome than about hanging out with others like me). Aspergers is not a disorder in my oppinion, it is a gift. And I wish to share the knowledge of such a thing with others.

I was wondering why this club isn't public either. There is such a large group of people out there without any knowledge, which has led to misuse. Take for instance, the topic "Ugh, Christian Rock is such Autism." (REAL TOPIC, BY THE WAY!) I reamed them up one side down the other, but who is there to back me up? Why don't we make this guild public? I've got one mother of two kids with ASD who hasn't joined as of yet; she wants to spread understanding and acceptance. How is a private guild going to help that?

Yeah it is hard to have others find out about this guild if its private..i was only able to find it by searching for this paticular topic, because my brother has autism. I want others to understand that having learning disabilities does not mea someone is stupid, they could just learn differently or possibly at a different pace.
The only way that i was able to do so, so far was by writing a story in another quild of mine, The Dream Journal Quild and the story is called Childhood Story but I've only had a handfull of people read it. Also I would write it somewhere here too but i''m not 100% sure where it would go and if other people, outside this guild, would be able to read it.
So I beleive, this guild should be public so that we could promot people to learn more about autism and aspergers.
