We're currently working to finally get the guild newsletter up and running! The newsletter will release one edition a month. There will be a list you can sign up for to recieve the newsletter via personal message on the first of each month. But until then, we need staff to fill the positions available!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We have several positions yet to be filled. Each member may volunteer for a maximum of one position and one fill-in position. These positions are:
-Book Review taken by Ruler of all Cheese
Writes a review for the month's chosen book
-Book Review Fill-in taken by Lizardheart
If Book Reviewer is not able to write the month's book review, the fill-in will be relied upon to write it.
-Movie Review e_dierlam
Writes a review for the month's chosen movie.
-Movie Review Fill-in Shirashima
If Movie Reviewer is not able to write the month's movie review, the fill-in will be relied upon to write it.
-Member of the Month Interview taken by Cookie -n- Cream
Interviews a guild member about their writing, what parts of the guild they most often frequent, other interests, etc.
-Member of the Month Interview Fill-in
If Member of the Month interviewer is not able to write the month's member interview, the fill-in will be relied upon to write it.
-New Member Interview taken by Namesake Alice
Interviews a guild member about their writing, other interests, why they decided to join, what they think of the guild so far, etc.
-New Member Interview Fill-in taken by Cookie -n- Cream
If New Member interviewer is not able to write the month's new member interview, the fill-in will be relied upon to write it.
-Layout Organization Mel0deis
Organizes the layout of the newsletter, including creating banners. Once the initial layout is done, however, all they will have to do is gather the written portions of the newsletter from the designated writers and put them in their appropriate locations in the newsletter.
-Layout Organization Fill-in
Fills in for the layout organizer in the case that they are not able to organize that month's edition.
Remember--applying for these positions is a COMMITMENT. You will be expected to fill these positions with seldom to no absences.
The deadlines for the completion of the sections will be:
1st of the month: Staff (with the exception of layout organizer) begins work on that month's written portions
15th: Deadline for written portions of the newsletter. All staff must submit finished pieces to the guild mule, Writer's_Anonymous, via personal message. Layout organizer, who will have access to the guild mule, begins placing written pieces in the correct places of the newsletter.
22nd: Deadline for the layout designer. The newsletter looks exactly like the finished product. One week is left, however, for the correction of any errors that may have been made.
1st of the next month: The newsletter is sent out via the guild mule to those who have signed up to recieve it. The production starts for the next month's edition.
Your contributions as staff would be greatly appreciated! If interested in a staff position, please post what position and/or fill-in you would like to fill.

I'll take the book review fill-in, if you'd like, or, if no one ends up wanting it, member of the month interview fill-in. I wish I could commit to more but I never know how much time I'll end up having to do stuff on Gaia with homework and everything. cry

lizardheart I'll take the book review fill-in, if you'd like, or, if no one ends up wanting it, member of the month interview fill-in. I wish I could commit to more but I never know how much time I'll end up having to do stuff on Gaia with homework and everything. cry I signed you up for the book review fill-in. Even with time constaints, I'm glad you at least volunteered. Thanks a bunch! =]

I pm'ed the following message to Ruler of all Cheese by mistake -
I can do Movie Review as a main - as long as I don't have to spend a lot of money every month to get the movies to be reviewed. I work and have to pay bills, so my pockets aren't as free as I would love for them to be.

But try to vary the types of movies you choose--rotate genres, and don't just pick your favorite movies, also pick as many different types of movies as you can. But if you think a movie's really inspirational or definitely worth watching, don't hesistate to review it. wink

ATTENTION!
Production on the newsletter will begin. I'll (I'm Cheese) send a notice out to every staff member and notify them to begin their duty and also of their job description.
Ooh, and here's what I didn't tell you: if you're on the staff, you're on the crew. mrgreen

Until they are filled, however, I will take over the jobs. I urge you though, if you do not yet have a job, please consider taking one of them and reducing my load. =]

I can be the movie reviewer fill in... I think that some of the random old movies I might find would be an interesting twist to let people know about. I think it would be fun.
