Rainstar woke confused. She wasn't in her den, and she was really sore. She sat up and stretched painfully, her muscles protesting as she moved. She knew that she had been sitting outside for most of the night, so she probably dozed off without realizing it. She shook her black head to clear the sleepiness, and padded towards the freshkill pile. She took a small bird from the bottom, and bit into it. She couldn't smell any other ThunderClan cats up, so she turned her attention back to her breakfast.

Dragonclaw woke up in her nest in the middle of the warriors den. She slowly got to her paws and stretched out her legs and let out a yawn. She pocked her head out of the warriors den and glanced around the camp, she spotted Rainstar eating and nodded to her. Then she padded over to the fresh kill pile and took a mouse she had caught the day before and went to go eat near the warriors den.

Hawkstripe padded out of the den and saw Rainstar eating from the freshkill pile and went over to her. He took a piece of meat from the bottom of the pile and ate it quickly. He looked back up, "When is the next gathering going to be held? There are many kits that are reaching 6 moons soon."

Rainstar looked up from her nearly finished bird.
"Hawkstripe, you know that Gatherings are held every full moon," she meowed, then added, "But I'll hold a meeting as soon as the kits are six moons old and there are enough mentors for them."

Dragonclaw looked up from her mouse at the mention of the kits that would soon be apprenticed, she licked her lips and glanced over at Hawkstripe and Rianstar If you want an apprentice so bad you shouldn't make it so obvious she thought to her self as humored look crossed her face. She blinked and then took another bite out of her mouse.

Hawkstripe nodded and finished his bird. As he walked past Dragonclaw, he gave her a look, noticing the expression on her face.

Dragonclaw flicked her tail and smiled as Hawkstripe looked at her "All the kits seem to really look up to you, I'm sure you'll get to mentor one of them" she meowed happily.

Rainstar smirked as she gulped down the last of her bird and heard Dragonclaw's comment. She padded over to her deputy and warrior, and sat down next to them.
"Maybe he will, Dragonclaw. You never know. But, right now, we need him to go on dawn patrol," she meowed, flicking her tail at the warrior.

Hawkstripe laughed and said, "Who else should I take with me?" He started inching his way towards the warrior's den.

Rainstar glanced around, seeing no other cats awake yet.
"Well, I'll go with you. Dragonclaw, would you mind watching the camp?" she meowed.

Tinypaw woke with a yawn. He looked around, disoriented for a moment. When he realized where he was he excitedly ran out of the apprentice's den. "Are you going on patrol? Can I come?" He mewed to Hawkstripe and Rainstar. His body shivered in the early morning cold.

Hawkstripe turned to Tinypaw, "Sure. But we have to stay with the clan, because this is about the time that the other clans go on their dawn patrol to. So no little missions of our own today."

Rainstar flicked her tail at Tinypaw, her sharp eyes looking over the apprentice. She smiled kindly, and turned to Hawkstripe.
"So, I guess we're set then," she said to the warrior. She looked to her deputy and added, "We'll be back soon. Don't let the other wander to far," she said with a playful tone.

Dragonclaw looked up at her leader and bowed her head "Don't worry Rainstar, I'll keep the camp safe" she meowed
