Deep in the middle of a 'hunt', Trystan crouched behind a tree, his eyes wide and intent on a large beetle perched upon a plant close by. He had been following it for some time and it just refused to stay still! He only wanted to look at it close up and see all its colours, it wasn't like he wanted to hurt it or anything. The thought made Trystan almost huff in frustration, but he held it in, in an attempt to stay quiet enough to be 'stealthy.'
Hopefully he wouldn't scare it off again, he was getting a little impatient.

Dilly had wondered away from the Cherry Grove for a bit; partly to sulk and partly to orient herself with the plants of the area. She had just settled herself into a large tree to relax, when she heard a noise from below. Looking down she spotted a young boy crouching behind her tree. Curious, she flew carefully down and hovered behind his turned back.
“What are you doing?” She inquired politely, if not a little loudly.

Trystan jumped slightly in surprise, having been so engrossed in the beetle, a twing snapping under his foot. And with that the beetle was off. Well that was a failed hunt. Trystan frowned at where it had been, wondering who had snuck up on him and the beetle. With a sigh he turned on the balls of his feet, staying in the crouch, before peering at the 'intruder' curiously.
Another feien? This was the second one he had met so far, face to face, and it made the loss less important. Remembering his manners he plastered on a friendly smile before replying, " I was chasin' a beetle. He had really interesting colours but he wouldn't let me hold him." He shrugged, for it was old news now. He hadn't seen where the beetle had flown off to this time.

Dilly took a quick inventory of the boy and decided he didn’t look like a pirate; therefore he must be a Lost Boy. In Tritin she’d been taught if you were kind to the Lost Boys they would do mean things to you the way pirates would. This is mind, she smiled kindly.
“Why were you trying to hold him if he didn’t want you too?” She asked. “What did the poor beetle ever do to you?”

Trystan huffed in agitation, but kept his smile in place. " I wasn't gunna hurt him. I just wanted to look at him up close," he stated. Why did he feel that what she was saying was probably what the beetle had been thinking. He hadn't thought of it that way. " I would have been nice to him," he explained, his smile slightly gone after his realization.

Dilly knew the boy had meant no harm. She smiled sweetly at him and flew a small circle around his head.
“Do you like bugs. . . ?” She paused. “Whoever you are.”

Trystan smiled, nodding in reply. " I do. I especially like bright ones, but they always seem the hardest to catch. Oh and I'm Trystan," he stated brightly, nodding him head in greeting. " Nice to meet you..."He trailed off, letting the feien introduce herself. He certainly had to work better at his manners, especially with girls around.

“Hello Trystan, I’m Dilly.” She said happily. “I like bugs too! They help do all sorts of cool things when it comes to growing stuff. I wish you could see Zee. . .” She trailed slowly to a stop. “He was my best friend. . .” Dilly finished sadly.

Trystan frowned at her sudden sadness, plopping down onto his bottom as he took a look around. A small flower ( small even for dilly) caught his eye and he snatched it up, holding it out to Dilly in apology. He hadn't meant to upset her. " I'm sorry." He didn't prod about what happened, curious as he was, it wasn't hard to guess that it was bad.

Dilly smiled fondly at the young boy and accepted the flower. “Thank you.” She told him. Then, sensing his curiosity she continued. “You see I’ve just moved here from the other side of the island, and long ways away and I had to leave all my friends behind. You’re my first new friend here!” She grinned brightly.

Trystan smiled in return, then let out a small sigh of relief. So it wasn't something TOO bad, but regardless it was something that hurt. Wait, she considered him her friend? He paused, eyeing the feien curiously then beamed. He made a friend!
" I'm happy to be your friend Dilly," he said, returning her grin with one of his own. He paused, wondering what he could do with his new found friend. Maybe find out if she had been doing something before hand. " Well I was chasing bugs, but why're you out here?" He didn't mean to sound like he was suspicious, but he wasn't too sure how else to ask.

“I’m looking at all the plants there are here!” Dilly told him brightly, plants being one of the subjects she loved most in the world. “There are a few things that are new to me, they grow different than they did back home, and I want to learn everything these is to know about them!” She grinned happily at the boy, hoping that he’d share her enthusiasm, but doubtful he would.

Trystan arched a brow in interest. She was out here for the plants? But before he started to judge her hobby, he continued to listen to her explain. Yet again the feien explained something to him in a way he wouldn't have thought of before. She actually made plants sound interesting.
" Thats cool," he mused, looking at a near by plant with renewed interest. " Which plants here are different?"
