I believe I may have had a premonition. I had downloaded a new MMORPG to play, thanks to my broadband connection, and as I started, I realised I had seen this exact thing happen before! In a dream a month ago, it had happened exactly as it played out in my dream.
So then people-- this was after I had started meditating and enforcing my will upon my environment. Small things, controlling small insects, influencing my pets and other small animals. My point-- how are these things possible? Do humans have a unique quality about them, some kind of divinely imparted power that allows us to remain on the world even after death (ghosts), influence things around us, make things happen? Could this premonition, small as it may have been, been a result of my meditations?
PS. You may think this crap. That's why it's here, in the Literate Chatterbox. Because most people in ED would tear me a new one, calling my beliefs and claims crap because they had never seen something like this.

As for the dream: I once dreamt a giant otter had surprise buttsecks with me on a cruise liner that it had recently commandeered and sliced in half (width-wise). I am still waiting for that one to come true.
On the matter of telekinetic influence: humans naturally look for patterns in the universe. To quote Frank Herbert's Dune, "Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic." That is, humans will look for, and often find or create noticeable patterns and phenomena where there otherwise are none.

Now what I have to say isn't going to make much sense.
I agree with Kaze, most humans try to find patterns where there are none. And on the other hand, I think that some humans do have the ability to predict the future, and control others. As for the remaining on earth after we die, the reason why humans are able to do that is because we have goals in our life, and if we didn't accomplish those goals in our life time we feel that we have to stay here until it is accomplished. That or, if we were murdered we feel the need to let our loved ones know how we died, and who did it. Animals don't do this because their goals are simple, survive, reproduce, survive. And when they die it is because of disease or some other animal got them to eat.
That is what I think.
