What do you think of the fact that they were paired up yet the relationship was never fully realized? I think that they would have been hot together! I just watched the episode again that they take Angel's soul so Angelus can destroy the beast. He imagines himself being with Cordy as how he loses his soul and it was HOTT!!!

i think it was weird to put cordy and angel together. he was more like a big bro to her. but when they got together it was to cliche. hot guy, hot girl. male and female. lol get my drift? i do not think they were good together. hot yes. good no.

Angel and Cordy would have been a cute couple but then again a little gross cause she was with conner his son! but yeah that was sad on hte 100th epesoide though when he kissed her and he found out it was onlly her spirit

I think the Angel/Cordy thing was a little contrived. Like 'Oh I can't have Buffy! I'll take the next cheerleader that comes along'. Meh. That almost-relationship was one of the reasons I had trouble liking Angel. Fred/Gunn did the same... Cordy/Connor...

Actually after the first season of Angel, I didn't really watch it but for a few episodes until the fifth season.

I must admitt during the first two seasons of Angel I would have really liked to see them hook up. Why? Because they were both hot. Simple as that.

And I don't think it would have have ever really worked out anyways because Angel's undying love for Buffy seems to get in the way of any of Angel's relationships. That's why I kinda got mad at Angel in the ep, "Girl in Question" because he was all like "Buffy's mine," and he was very quick to forget about Nina (the werewolf girl). So..eh...Cordy/Angel, I'm kinda questionable about. But I will say, that I was upset when Cordy died, and that Angel couldn't be with the one he loved...again. sweatdrop

I wouldn't have minded it I guess. I was hoping that someone who matured well, and was closest to him as the seasons began, would be good for him. I'd actually prefered Doyle and her.. but we all know what happened.

I really didn''t like Cordy. At all. She was annoying and stupid and just plain pointless. I really didn''t like her.

Needless to say that I didn''t like Angel/Cordy.

Anyone who didn't like Cordy at first is perfectly understandable, but after she got the visions from Doyle her character really began to grow and mature. I think she really became my favorite Angel character and that the show took a sharp downward incline (save for a few season 5 eps) the moment the Jasmine arc began. As for the question of Angel/Cordy? Well if you had asked me that before having witnessed Cordy's metamorphosis I would have given you a funny look...But overall I think they really had the potential to be a wonderful couple. In the end it may have never matched his love for Buffy, but it would have been something real. In closing:

That about sums it up.

Okay... I'll give you that. Cordy did begin to mature after Doyle gave her the visions. I still had trouble really liking her character though. And then... to go from supposedly 'loving' Angel, to sleeping with his son (the one she was like a mother to) just totally turned me off of her character. I was very happy when Season Five rolled around.

If only Angel wouldn't lose his soul by boinking her, I kinda liked the idea of them getting together; of course, that was before she boinked Connor. Ew! He was like a son to her. Nasty xp

i think they would've made a good couple...i was pretty sure it was gonna happen but...then it didnt lol. after that the whole cordy/connor thing kinda made it impossible to think about cory/angel. but the 100th episode was kinda good that way.

Before I say anything I wanna clear up a little matter people seem to be unable to get past, and thats Cordy/Connor. Cordy was possesed when she did that, it was all for an evil plan, she was the Beasts master, and she was pulling all the strings the moment Lorne woke that thing up inside her. So anyone who wishes to hate Cordy for that moment seems to not see the plot of that season very well.

Now I want to say that I liked the couple, I think he could of loved her enough to forget Buffy, not totally, but she seemed to just accept that part of him. If Buffy came back I trully believe that he would be loyal to Cordy, and I feel she would do the same. 3nodding

I completely agree with what's been said about Cordy maturing. Her character in seasons 3 and 4 was practically unrecognizable from the cheerleader snob in BTVS.

And I think Cordy and Angel would have made a great couple. I remember a scene (sorta) where Cordy handed Angel a glass of blood. Angel hesitated, like he didn't want to drink in front of her. Cordy replied, "Don't worry. We're all family."

I can't really remember Angel every drinking in front of Buffy, and I don't think she would have reacted to it the same way Cordy did.

Dawn said it best, I think, "Everything with [Angel] was all... eee, you know? ... You know...? 'my boyfriend's a vampire,' crazy, crazy."

I always thought Buffy saw Angel as a vampire with a soul, while Cordy saw him as (to steal a line from Wes) "a man with a demon inside, not the other way around."

*snuffles* I think that was beautifully put.

It would have been great to see them hook up. angel needs to move on from buffy, and cordy was right there waiting. cordy changed from being the biggest b***h at sunnydale to being a nice person. they would have been great together.
