Yes, really, what is it that inspires YOU to write? Is nature? Is it man-made? Come on, speak up, tell us what it is that drives you to write a novel!
For Emma, it is bare feet beneath soft sheets on a bed. Weird, I know, but still. It's also water. Whether it's swimming, taking a shower or the rain. It's so darned inspiring.

For me, it's can be driving in the car (or, rather, riding in the car). I like to look out my window and take in all the scenery and try to imagine all the different things going on and lives outside, more complicated than mine. When I'm riding, usually something completely unrelated just comes to me and I grab out my handy dandy purse (which has all of everything in it, believe me) and start writing on the paper.
But I can get inspiration anywhere, pretty randomly.
