I would like to collect every one in the Guild Home address, so this way when we have a Birthday, Loss of a love one ect we can send you cards ect....
I wanted everyones thought on this and spoke to Metal and he came up with this ideas and we would like to get your input
- I(Me or Metel) would collect the adresses via pm and deposit them as a pm on the mule. If anyone's interested in the list, they could ask me and us and would send it to them.
-Could create a crew subforum (threads can't be set that way on Gaia) for crew only. It would still work via pm, but we would post it there instead on the mule
- We could make the thread open to everyone and simply put our faith/ trust into everyone - that way it's the least complicated
Remember you dont have to do this and the only people who will see this is the people in the guild

Hmmmm.....will have to think on that one....I love the idea of REAL contact though...
A couple of things--some of us in the guild live in another country, so just mailing something might be a bit awkward. And the logistics as well--I know alot of us don't feel comfortable with our "real" names being available. (which is why we use fake names on gaia, bebo, etc.). Plus--no one could spell MY last name, lol (14 letters). rofl But--again...this may just be me.

I like the idea of becoming more connected with the other guild members in RL! However, after being robbed in real life two years ago, I will always be a little wary of giving my address, full name, or phone number to anyone online. Don't get me wrong, because I totally trust you guys, but... you never know, and it never hurts to be extra safe! (Hence warnings often found on sites that say "do not give personal information online"). But, maybe another way to send more personal congratulations and condolences would be for everyone to give you or Metal their email addresses? I personally love recieving emails, and there are some really creative and fun/funny e-cards that you can send through email that you couldn't send in RL. Just a thought!

I also think that using e-mail addresses would be a better way to go about it, then e-cards can be sent out. I am not too big on putting my personal information out there as well.
@Retro~ I thought my step dads last name was bad at 10 letters long, but you have that beat with 14, lol

Howz about setting up a Hallmark (or whatever e-card site you like) account for the guild? It could use the guild mules e-mail address (which the guild already has) for the set-up.
Then....anybody who wanted to, could pm Metal or Razzy your e-mail addy, and we could enter them into the "address book" on the site. (I would do it if no one else wanted to). 3nodding
Cool things about the e-card sites:
heart You can have all of the e-mails available in one place--even if you didn't use that site--all the addresses would be in the address book.
heart Hallmark lets you enter "dates to remember" on it, so everyones b-day, anniversary, etc. could be entered in, for convenience.
heart We could post the password in the guild, so the site could be accessed by anyone in the guild.
This could give us the REAL touch we all have been looking for, but still be private enough for everyone to be comfortable, I think. (Like Vera, being robbed in RL makes you leary of tooooo much I wasn't before). mrgreen

I agree that I don't want to put my personal info out there regardless of it just being in the guild. Too easy for people to hack into things anymore. I have no problem with my email address though and the Hallmark site sounds great!

 This would be a good idea, but ..
1. My parents would freak if I started getting mail from people they don't know xDD
2. The mail system in my town is really sketchy.
It would take FOREVER to get here, first of all (for those who don't know, I live in Mexico) and we might not get it at all if it got lost in the post office.
There is no mailman here - Mexico doesn't really do post >.<
However, if anyone wants to send me some e-cards, I'll send my email address to one of you guys n_n

Well, where I live, at least, you just kinda have to go and pick it up.
Once in a while they will deliver it, or somebody will deliver it for you, expecting a tip ;]
It's not undeveloped here, just .. not mail-y. x3

Yeah I'm not to keen about giving out my mailing info to anyone cause you never know who could hack into something to get the info.
The card site though is a awesome idea though! Count me in on that one.
