Keep in mind there is more than one version to each of the many stories and backgrounds involving drow.
D&D is the primary source for what people online consider most useful in regards to drow stuff.

Drachir D Nalem He just have to go and buy the books, then. Buying "the books" would help, but not the only solution. You put the link to wikipedia up, that was helpful, but also people discussing the different sources they've read would also be useful.

And if you're looking for particular topics, not necessarily exclusive on the Underdark and/or Drow, this can be a wonderfully helpful place to find things as well.

Best way to learn is to pick up a book about them.
I myself need a bit of help too though....establishing myself here. I am new, and am unsure of what to do in this guild. I demand a male assist me, else the first one I see shall be missing a body part or two.

Heh. Just need a kick off of how to initiate myself in the Role plays, if you will have me. I hate disrupting people in their own stories, and I want to make sure I have the rules down before I jump into this business.

Adharra Heh. Just need a kick off of how to initiate myself in the Role plays, if you will have me. I hate disrupting people in their own stories, and I want to make sure I have the rules down before I jump into this business. My suggestion: Check out the Houses. Read up a bit on how the players play their characters. Test the waters with a smaller house or a side quest (Such as the mercenary band that is being created in the Fraction subforum) and help build your character. *shrugs* Those are just a few ideas on getting started. As for better lore on Drows, those above mentioned are excellent sources. Better sources would be reading the books.

Thanks, hun. My ultimate goal is to become a matron....maybe have a house of my own. *sigh* raise a family, build an army, and raise thru the house hierarchy.
But is that not the goal of every female?
But thats long term goals. Right now, I need to establish myself ><

Right now, I need to establish myself >< Suggestion #2: Build a good character profile you are comfortable with in the profile subforum. Once done, go ahead and simply join a few ongoing RPs or make your own in which you are exploring the different areas of the Cities (the cities of Ulorbbath has districts you can explore and RP. I'd suggest going to the districts with active folks in it and stumble upon their characters wink ). Once you get comfortable and know the ins and outs of the cities, then go about working on that House of yours smile
