if you get the train early in the morning it's cheap
otherwise it's quite expensive
york has a youth hostel, so if you're staying overnight that's a cheap option
just make sure you're a member of the yha, it's about £10 a year, i think, and you can use it worldwide
yha website
idk if you have anything like this in the states XD

You mean I can study English abroad? I thought people only studied abroad if it was like, Foreign Language or World history or something, and they only ever went to places like Rome and Italy.
