Just a scene I made up with......the Graduation! *dramatic theme music* It was just an idea, and grew into a big page. sweatdrop
Characters:
Midori Hayashi & Yoko
Ryo Kobayashi
Kohaku Enmu
Alas, the day has come...Graduation from Genin to Chuunin. We find our friends in a difficult situation. The Graduation is to be formal, meaning dresses and dress shirts. We all know Midori won't stand for this kind of behavior, but she has to do it in order to graduate. What events will unfold? Let's catch up with the crew, and see.
A Week Before Graduation:
Our friends are walking down the street of the local shopping area.
Kohaku: So, you guys heard about the formal Graduation ceremony, right? They sent us letters in the mail.
Ryo: Yeah, I got mine, but Midori's is a little slobbered on. *rolls eyes*
Midori: Hey! Yoko was bringing me my mail, and she is a dog after all. I can still read it, alright?
Ryo: Whatever...
Yoko: Grrr...
Kohaku: Were you able to read the formal requirements?? *smirk*
Ryo: Oh yeah Midori, what'cha think about that? *smirk*
Midori: What? I didn't see that part!?
Ryo: Ahem. *pretends to read invisible document* "All students must wear formal clothing. Dresses/Skirts and Blouse with dress shoes are appropriate for ladies, while the gentlemen will be wearing a suit and tie, with nice shoes. " See? You have to dress like a girl for once.
Midori: WHAT??? This can't be. We're ninjas for Heaven's Sake! Why dress up? *pauses, thinking quickly* Well, I'll just tell them I don't have a dress. It's true you know.
Kohaku: Whoa whoa whoa Midori! You can't graduate unless you wear a dress or some skirt and blouse. Why'd you think I asked to meet down here today?
Midori: I dunno. I guessed we could just walk and chat. I woke up in a bad mood this morning because somebody forgot it was his turn to do the laundry...
Ryo: Hey now, wait! You can't blame me. Your stuff was all muddy from practice, and I already don't like touching your clothes!
Midori: But I did yours twice last week. You owe me one.
Ryo: Anyway, the point is that you need new clothes, and we will make you buy some today.
Midori: You can't make me! *sticks out tongue*
Kohaku: Midori, we can make you do anything. We know you better than anyone else. We won't be completely ruthless either you know. Just a little. *grins*
Midori: For some reason, I hate you guys, but still love you. Guess that's what teammates do. >.>
Ryo: Yup. *smiles*

At the store:
Kohaku: So, which do you want? I think you want a skirt and blouse---
Midori: ARE YOU KIDDING? Those tight see-through shirts all the girls like? No way! I will just got with a simple dress if I have to dress formal at all. Blouses itch too. *eye twitch*
Ryo: Wow, never thought I'd see Midori asking for a dress.
Midori: Shut up.... It better be green!
Kohaku: Fine, it will be. First let's have a little fun.....

Midori: *growls* This-is-not-funny!
Ryo: Aw, come on Midori! You look nice in a dress, and it's green!
Kohaku: Yeah, you are hardly recognizable.
Midori: You guys are joking here. This dress it tight, itchy *scratches* and strapless! There's too many ruffles and so much glitter, I look like a Fairy. I look stupid. Not to mention fat.
Ryo: I hear Ren moan about this stuff all the time... You look fine.
Midori: *grinds teeth* I-don't-feel-fine.
Kohaku: Ok, ok. We'll find you another one.
*Midori goes to change into a new loose dress*
Kohaku: *whispers* Dude, she should dress like that more often. Boys would be all over her. Just wait until she gets her hair done---
Midori: HAIR????
Ryo: *whispers* Yeah, I agree. I'll talk about it later when she's less angry. *talks normal* Guess the hair secret got out....
*Midori comes out of changing rooms*
Midori: I guess this one's better. It's loose, and has halter straps. It's not too long either. Stop looking at me like that!
Kohaku:Sorry, *snicker* but you finally found a dress you like. I thought it would take more than 2 hours, but it's only taken 1 hour and 45 minutes!
Ryo: Yeah, and you look so noce in it, we feel like we don't even know you.
Midori: Let's just pay and get it over with. *walks towards counter* You're paying you guys!
Kohaku: Darnit, we almost got away.
Ryo: *checks wallet* Hey Midori! Can't we work out a deal here???
Midori: Nope! *grins*

*Midori scoops up Yoko from a pile of return-rack clothes*
Midori: Ok, now that you guys have so kindly payed for my dress, we can go.
Ryo: My precious savings....
Kohaku: Ok then. I'll see you guys on Graduation night. *walks off*
Back at Midori and Ryo's Appartment:
Everyone is in their Pajamas, and sitting on the couch. Yoko is dozing in Midori's lap.
Midori: So Ryo, what's this about my hair???
Ryo: Uhhh...well we were thinking we could wrestle you into doing your hair pretty. You know, all tied up and fancy. It's always down and flat.
Midori: I guess I could do something.....
Ryo: Really? That was easy. *leans back and puts feet up on Midori's legs*
Midori: Hey! *shoves Ryos's feet off* Don't get all comfortable yet. What are you wearing?
Ryo: Simple. A dress shirt, some pants, and a tie. No big deal.
Midori: Hmmph... Boys have it so easy. Good night. *goes to room*
Ryo: It's a shame she has such a temper. She would make a good date, if she bothered with them...

Day of Graduation:
*Midori and Ryo arrive*
Kohaku: Where's Yoko?
Ryo: I convinced her to leave her at home, since she doesn't like ceremonies.
Midori: Yeah well, she's tired.
Kohaku: Of course.... *rolls eyes* Nice hair, I need your stylist's number. *wink*
Midori: I did it idiot! No way I would let some lady touch me. With your hair, it just needs to be chopped off. You look like a girl sometimes more than I do.
Kohaku: I like my hair...
Ryo: Short hair like mine is better.
*loud speaker* ATTENTION ALL GENIN, PLEASE REPORT TO THE BACK STAGE NOW
Midori: Guess we should go....
They all walked towards the stage....
