Hello everyone,

Im a regular to anime conventions accross new england. I always see naruto, bleach, and death note cosplay. Its almost filled with millions of soul reapers and ninjas. Its so very rare to see any GITS cosplayers out there. Is there anyone out there who cosplays as any of the GITS charecters?

Next week, Im attending an anime convention and Im cosplaying as Kusanagi from GITS SAC2nd Gig. Surely I will stand out amongst the others considering there are alot of duplicite costumes of the same series.

I unfortunatly didn't have time to make the costume myself since this is my first year in art college. However, I must say, for anyone looking to get a GITS costume, ebay is the place. They will custom make the costume to fit your exact measurements. I was a little weary ordering a costume from over seas, but they did a fantastic job. Also, if the costume you want is not there (ex. my boyfriend is going to be Batou and they didnt have the costume on the site) all they need is a picture and they make it.
Anyone out there ever make there own GITS costume?

Also I was wondering if anyone knew any good websites where I can find GITS replicas like guns, Kusanagi's shades, etc. I must say, there was alot of dificulty with those items.

im going to a con in Good ol' Kentucky and im going as batou. ill get pics up later, but i seem to be having trouble with the eyes. and to answer your question cherryblossom the best thing you can do about weapons is look in alot of stores and flea markets for similar looking airsoft guns, and other items can usualy be found at the cons themselves or at the vendo's websites. hope that helped smile

For Batou, my boyfriend got very light copper pipes cut to the right size. Then at the bottom he welded a metal white screen so he could see throug them. Then he used eyelash glue, which is safe for the eyes and comes off easy, to glue them on. The trick is finding a pipe that will completely cover the eyeball so it will be comfortable. I dont know if you would want to go through all that trouble, but its just an idea of a solution ^^

Thank you very much for the suggestion of the air soft guns ^^ I never thought of that. I think Im going to buy some from dicks sporting goods. They seem to have alot of fun stuff ^^ Thanks again!
