St. Augustine, as he helps with my sinfulness. However, I also like to rely on St. Peter (Peter was my confirmation name), and St. George (George is my first name).

Saint Nicholas (Of Tolentine) I wanted to pick St, Stanislaus of Kostka, but: a) His name is too long to pronounce b) Most people don't know who he is.

St. Thecla
At the time I was too young to know what "perpetual virginity" meant and to appreciate that. But I admired her for her courage. She would have been that first woman martyr if God had not saved her each time her execution was attempted.
Though apparently she may have actually not existed and the story of St. Thecla might actually be an combination of stories about several brave Catholic women. But the figure St. Thecla is still regarded as a Catholic saint so whether she is one woman or several women, I admire her/them for their courage and faith.
And St. Catherine of Siena, my namesake.

Never heard of St. Thecla before. Cool!
My confirmation saint is St. Barbara, after my godmother. (Since my godfather was my sponsor, I thought it was only fair, and I didn't have a favorite saint then anyway.)
I always considered St Ann my patron saint, because Ann is my middle name and my first name, Christine, just comes from Christ. St Ann is the mother of Mary, so she must have done a good job parenting!
My other favorites are St. Michael (is it appropriate to call a saint badass? because he totally is!!), St Francis of Assisi, and his friend St. Clare.

My confirmation teacher didn't say anything when I picked my patron saint.
St. Juan Diego
I knew exactly who I wanted because I use to read my little baptism book which told his history and his story. I admired him for his courage and doing what the Lady of Guadalupe told him to do. He was really concerned about his sick father and the virgin healed him. I love most though how his clothes with the virgin mary is still here today and how they're only proving it to be even more authentic. I'm not exactly sure what he's for though, I think maybe for Mexicans?
I also love St. Cecilia, patron of musicians.
She married and talked to her husband about still wanting to be a virgin. I think she eventually converted him and they buried the Christians who died in secret. When she was caught they cut off her head, but she survived for like three days.

Mr duggles-worth I have not been confirmed yet but my patron saint will be saint dismas who is the thief who stood up for jesus on the cross(yes he is in fact a saint) Of course he is, a saint is really just one who is in heaven with God. It just takes a bit of effort to prove that. Since Jesus said you shall be with me in paradise...idk if those are the exact words, pretty close I believe. It does not take much to convince one that he is a saint. biggrin Mine is St. Lucy, no real idea why. But when I was looking over the st.s for confirmation there was no doubt in my mind that Lucy is the one I would choose...no idea why.
