I am a new crew member here, and I was just wondering if any of you had ideas of what we could to increase the activity of our members, as well as attract new ones to be part of the club, short of putting a gun to their heads.
There is much we can do, and little time to do it. The time of revolution is NOW; the last, best hope of the human race is ourselves.

Jonnnn Something informative and stable that the mods would have no reason to move. But thats being done already. smile Hopefully! I really need help comrade, there's a thread on it and all help is much appreciated, the more help the sooner it can get out! This guild is of the people, without active participation from members then it doesn't function, it's not me but all of us who should do stuff.

I was reading about O/M guilds, that might be fun, to have a seperate small guild or merge with an existing one and poke at capitalist O/Ms xD
Hmmmm. Well, I said earlier my chatroom in the house idea, but that doesnt really help the forums.
Maybe, like "charity drives" or other stuff for publicity?
EDIT: Like, giving out red wristbands or something to anyone who shows interest. We could also set up some sort of marker that shows we're a group, and marks all commies/anarchists/etc. I'd say the rebellion masl (omg want....) but its way too expensive.

WELL! My main guild and really the only one I've ever been in is the LSG, the literate spam guild. Around Christmas time and guild anniversaries (mostly christmas time) the people of the guild are asked to donate gold for the months/weeks leading up to it. The people of the guild get to make wishlists and ask for items that they would like the guild leaders to give them. The more active of a user you are, the more expensive items you can wish for. Unfortunately that's kinda sorta really hypocritical to a communist guild. But it was just a thought.

Uhmm...to be honest I'm not entirely sure razz
It stands for organization/military I think, and I guess it's roleplay guilds that attack eachother here on Gaia or something. That could easily be adapted into something fun for the members here, roleplay or no.

Post in the ED, in political threads, if someone tries to argue with you over your signiature and it's off topic (like them talking about it when it has nothing to do with the thread) just tell them to keep it in appropriate threads unless you want to engage them, but it's usually not worth the effort. I used to post in the ED quite a bit but these days I'm very busy (and about to get busier) and the ED irritates me so I don't really post anywhere but here and on a few other guilds, but mostly here, so for those that still post in the ED, a signiature with a creamy link filling works very well.

You want action eh? Well I've started a protest against the Cash Shops. In basic, it involves dumping as much of the items that I don't need on the cash shops. Phin Phang has been my main target. By Gaia's own admission the power in gold economics to cause serious problems is around Three Billion. Sounds big to an indivual but, not to a collective action. Fighting the Bourgeois action of the Gaia cash system by absorbing as much gold as we possibly can and thus creating a scarcity, we eventually buy out the power of Gaia's gold economy thus giving us leverage to fight the owners of this travesty. Boycott at our collective profit and panic in the ruling classes of Gaia is part of proeltarian action that should carry a good lesson into the offline world.
