SHC Rules
General:
1▪ Follow Gaia's Terms of Service.
2▪ No flaming/harassing anyone.
3▪ Do not beg!
4▪ Decent grammar and spelling is appreciated.
5▪ Be kind and courteous, I will be doing the same.
6▪ Feedback is much appreciated. ^^
7▪ We don't bite (often) so feel free to ask any questions you still have after reading the front page.
What to do if you have a problem with someone:
1▪ Ignore each other if you can't talk without fighting.
2▪ Do not start anything.
3▪ Do not continue anything.
4▪ Try to have a clean slate in SHC.
5▪ Lil will not hesitate to ban either or both of the parties involved if fighting continues in the SHC.
Posting:
1▪ NO chat speak.
2▪ If you are RPing in the shop, please have the character's name at the beginning of -each- shop RP post.
3▪ Keep the OOC drama fights out of the thread, it's not appropriate.
4▪ Do not have quote towers longer than three quotes.
5▪ Keep font at a reasonable, readable (meaning no uber bright light blues!) level.
6▪ Do not quote any really long posts or anything found on the first two pages of the shop. (Quoting individual subjects to help a lost visitor is fine.)
7▪ Do not role play with any characters that have not been purchased/claimed and completed.
Guild:
1▪ Read the rules for each subforum before posting.
2▪ Threads that do not belong will be moved and threads that do not follow the rules will be deleted.
3▪ (Staff) Do not make stickies or announcements unless instructed to.
4▪ (Staff) Only edit posts if they contain spelling errors. Do not alter anything else.
5▪ Unless you are a OOC staff member, do not post in the guild's main forum. It is reserved for important information and artist profiles.
6▪ If you have a character, it is highly recommended that you join the guild.
Ordering:
1▪ You must have all of your information ready before claiming a slot. Only fully filled out forms will be accepted.
2▪ All orders must be made in the artist's profile using their order form.
3▪ After they accept your order, send trade to the artist and accept it when the art is posted in the pick-up.
---Please save the uncerted character to your own server.
4▪ One slot = one stage. Even if you pay for more than one stage, you will have to wait for a slot to reopen after you complete the promotion requirements.
5▪ You do not have to stick with the same artist for every stage, which is why we allow you to order your characters one stage at a time.
6▪ Customers will be one stage only, unless you feel like having a wardrobe change.
7▪ In the future, couples may become available for those who reach the Kept or Retired level.
8▪ Twins are accepted at the artist's discretion. As of 5/7/08 only one set of twins/triplets will be allowed per month. See twins/triplets post for details.
9▪ The artist has the right to refuse service for any reason.
10▪ Only hosts have the stages! Staff and customers do not have stages unless they feel like changing their clothes or becoming a host.
11▪ Ages must be 17+ for strays, 18+ for everyone else. Anyone under 21 cannot be at the bar or drink alcohol.
12▪ NEW! exclaim You must have a quest thread for each character and they must be passed before you can get them a slot. Please have your character's pose and clothes idea somewhere in the thread.
Clothing:
1▪ If you are a stray, you are not financially stable and therefore unable to afford luxuries.
2▪ Customers have a lot more freedom but be warned, if you look like one of his strays, Searan will refuse service to you. Please keep in mind that this is a high class club. As of 4/26/08, no customer will be allowed unless they have proper "high class club" attire. This means that your customer must be dressed nicely and look like they can afford to keep a host or two.
3▪ Staff members must dress for their work or else Searan might think of you as a customer and ask you to pay at the end of the night.
4▪ Hosts and Legends MUST wear some sort of a a suit! They are hosts and must look the part or else Searan won't allow you on the floor. Legends have more luxuries than Hosts.
5▪ Retired and Kept characters can look however they want.
Character Rules
Hosts:
1▪ Be respectful of Searan, the customers, and your coworkers. Searan will not hesitate to fire or demote people.
2▪ Unless you are at the third promotion level (Legend/Kept/Required) you cannot refuse customers without talking with Searan.
3▪ You cannot be paid to RP unless you are a legend.
4▪ You must RP at the Host level or you will risk demotion.
5▪ At the third promotion level you are not required to RP but Searan likes knowing how things are going.
Customers:
1▪ You do not have any requirements to keep your customer.
2▪ You can request any host that is available to roleplay. However, if you become inactive with the role play without warning, Searan will close it.
3▪ The customer is always right, within reason. Please do not ask obnoxious things of the hosts and stay within Gaia's TOS.
4▪ Do not harass the hosts unless it is an approved (by lil) plot twist.
5▪ If your customer is interested in a relationship with a host, please see the requirements for "Kept" hosts.
Club Staff:
1▪ Unless you clear it with Searan, you are required to participate in some RPs to keep a sense of variety within the club.
2▪ You are free to have relationships with anyone, but don't forget about your job.
3▪ You must have a small interview with Searan before ordering so we know that your character is right for the job.
--By suit I don't mean tuxedo, but they must at least be wearing a suit jacket, a dress shirt, and dress pants.
4▪ Even if you are behind the scenes, you must greet the customers and be respectful towards them and fellow staff members.
5▪ Alert Searan to any time problems so he can "give you less hours".
Promotion
Stray to Host:
▪ You do not have any requirements to keep the stray but the stray will not be promoted unless you RP.
▪ Preliminary "pick up" meeting with Searan.
▪ Three training sessions with either Searan or another qualified person.
▪ Three training prompts.
▪ Final interview with Searan.
▪ Promotion to host.
Please note that any character can become a host if they have an an interview with Searan discussing the matter. Customers and staff are more than welcome to go on the host track.
Host to Legend/Kept/Retired:
▪ Unlike the strays, you must RP during this stage or you'll be demoted to stray.
▪ Going without role play in the guild for more than a month without notice will automatically get you demoted.
▪ If you RP availability is set to open, any customer can request RP with you and you must accept. If you absolutely cannot accept the customer, please bring up the issue with Searan via PM.
To Legend:
▪ Role play with at least five different customers with positive reviews.
▪ Five customer relations prompts with a passing grade.
▪ Reach the top three hosts.
▪ Be nominated by either a host or a customer after you have completed all of the other requirements.
▪ Meet with Searan.
To Kept:
▪ Role play with at least five different customers with positive reviews.
▪ Five customer relations prompts with a passing grade.
▪ Go on five dates with your chosen customer.
▪ Request Searan's blessing.
▪ Receive or give a lover's ring.
To Retired:
▪ Role play with at least five different customers with positive reviews.
▪ Five customer relations prompts with a passing grade.
▪ Go on five dates with your chosen host.
▪ Request Searan's blessing together, once both have completed the requirements.
▪ Receive or give a lover's ring.
Legend to Kept or Retired:
▪ Go on five dates with your chosen host or customer.
▪ Request Searan's blessing (together, once both have completed the requirements).
▪ Receive or give a lover's ring.
