 A cave lies out near the woods, off a small cliff. The location is secluded and difficult to find. The entrance is decorated with a couple scattered bones, hinting at the idea that a predatory animal resides within. The cave goes on for a good 500 feet before finally coming to a stop. Deep in the cave in an area lit by campfire, furnished with furs, there seems to be some sort of humanoid making a life. On a stone slab is an assortment of bones varying in appearance from needles to shields. From axes to shortswords and knives. On each of those bones is a binding seal, indirectly connecting it to a summoning scroll. This is where the altered human known as Vel, calls home.

Vel stepped out into the morning sun. His eyes narrowed, adjusting to the suddenly bright world outside, and he listened. He could hear the birds and the wind, and under his feet he felt the pebbles and the earth. His goal right now was to get water for drinking and other means, then to return to crafting his weaponry. He had a lot of melee weapons, but very limited ranged attacks. He had needles, but as bone, they had little weight, and therefor, little impact. A bow was needed...
Materials needed:
-Large bones
-Animal sinew
-Animal grease
-Leather strips
-Water

Vel returned with a deer rather than water. It rested on his shoulders, and he carried the prey into the darkness of the cavern. The deer took the table and his bone weapons were pushed off to the side. He began prepping the deer for skinning, and for making jerky. In a few hours, the deer would be but bone and the toughest parts of the meat which clung directly to the bones.
As the hours passed, the skin was cleaned and boiled and stretched into a leathery fur. The meat was being smoked and dried while a small portion was slow roasted on an open flame. The bones were seperated, and the parts which would best make the bow were identified. The ribcage would provide the length of the bow. Then bones were bent carefully and soaked in boilding water, tied in place by some of Vel's limited wire. When the process finished, he had the shape of two halves of the mongolian style re-curve bow.
Three thin strips of the deer skin leather were woven together to make the bowstring, and the arm bones and leg bones were split, and shaped into long shafts for arrows. The Teeth of another animal made the arrow tips, and the feathers came from a land grouse, or some kind of pheasant. The bones would need time to harden, as the boiling still left them rather soft in certain places. It would be the bone's attempt to return to their natural structure which would give the bow a greater force than normally expected from a mongolian style shortbow.

Having his cut treated and bandaged, Manndar was now out on a walk..... Well, more like a run. He hadn't taken his weights off for a long time, and it felt soo good! He was sprinting, tree to tree and rock to rock. Instead of joining everyone at the arena like he probably should have to study the enemy, he decided to get some fresh air. ((He had someone take notes anyway.))
It was purely by chance that Manndar had found this cave. It had rained the previous day, and Manndar stepped on a wet bone and slipped. When he got up, he saw the entrance to the cave. He thought he had seen everything, but here it was..... An un-explored cave. Being naturally curious, Manndar entered the cave's entrance to see what is in there.

Being too dark to see anything, Manndar left the cave and went home to complete a few things before round 2 started.
