You have just left the last town and are now in the middle of a temperate forest. You can feel the wind blowing on your face from the south. You hear birds chirping in the distance and all around you are trees. The temperature is not to hot, but still a little warm. It is mid spring and you have decided that you and your friends should leave your home town and start your life's journey. You are a couple weeks walk away from the nearest town. You have just walked off the dirt path that you were once following and are now lost.
What do you do?

A slight wave of panic sweeps over Lee as he realizes that the party is lost. Once he knows that the party is "off the beaten track," Lee calms himself and holds up his hand to stop everyone.
"Hold Up! I think we missed our turn back there somewhere."
Lee remembers that a brisk breeze was blowing in his face from the south when he was walking on the road. Lee wets his finger and holds it up into the breeze to attempt to determine which way is south.
OOC: Lee will also make a survival check related to being lost and finding the proper direction to get "back on the right path."
Survival Check: + 11 =

OOC: Opps sorry about the confusion with the dice. The first roll was a survival check to find direction (20) and the second dice roll (7) was incorrectly labled. The second dice roll was for knowledge (geography) check.
Survival Check: 20 + 11 = 31 total
Knowledge Check (Geography): 7 + 3 = 10 total

You find out that the wind is coming from the direction of a small clearing.
Leebrand you remember seeing a map in your studies about this place. You vaguely remember it however, you do know that there is a river, a mountain, and the forest is huge.

Lee quietly whispers to the party and points to the south. "This way is south. I'm sure of it."
Examining his surroundings, Lee also notices that the foliage is slightly thicker ahead. He also knows that this likely indicates existence of a clearing ahead since the extra sunlight from a clearing naturally has a tendency to thicken the foliage of the trees at it's edge.
Lee also whispers, "I think that there is a clearing in the forest just ahead of us. I suggest that we quietly move to the edge of the clearing and see what, if anything, lies ahead. We should be able to hide in the thicker foliage at the edge of the clearing while we look."
Lee thinks to himself, I better wait to hear the opinion of my comrades before doing anything.
OOC: I can also sneak up there on my own and take a look if the party wants me to do so.

Merrick moves next to Lee "Lee, better let me check it out first" he said quietly. He remained silent waiting for Lee's reply.

Milo you see a sunny clearing filled with small purple flowers. It is a grassy area. Trees circle around the area.

Leebrand StumphoffLee slightly stoops and cups his delicate hands around his mouth. In a very hushed tone he lightly calls out in elven “Draugamin ettul.”"Crack..chhhh!" Suddenly, a very large grey wolf errupts from the foliage directly in in front of Lee; it's blood red mouth open and white fangs flashing in the sunlight of the grove. Before anyone can react, the large wolf quickly circles behind Lee and starts licking the Ranger’s left hand. Lee reaches down and lightly carresses the wolf's ears.

Lee looks at the rest of the party and lightly whispers "Oh the wolf? He has already been up ahead. Unfortunately, I can't talk to him to find out what he knows."
Reaching down and scratching the wolf's head, Lee mutters mostly to the wolf "Lle ume quel," "But we are working on that, aren't we boy?"
After a moment, Lee continues in a very light voice "I think we should stay together and all try to move quietly to the clearing as a group. Once we get there, we can hide at the edge of the clearing in the thick foliage. It won't do if any of us to get separated from the group and lost. Nemo should be able to show me the easiest and safest path to the clearing." Lee looks to his friends to see if they agree or disagree before moving toward the clearing.
