There was this one girl at my old school that dressed a little punk-ish. One day she thought it was so rightous and liberal of her to call me a posuer. I thought this was weird, because I had never called my self goth, and my style at the time was more like semi-goth, but I listened to her opinion anyway. She said "Goth was a religion and it was made in the 50's! Look it up on the internet, on google, and you'll find out!" or something along those lines.
I was thinking "She's just a little delirious, eh?"
This is why:
arrow If it was a religion, who's the deity?
arrow You can't "make" a religion.
arrow In the 50's? Sounds like she's confusing it with Wicca (even though, in truth, it was brought out of the broom closet in the 1930's)
arrow Just because it's on google, doesn't mean it's fact and written in stone! -sarcasm- Oh yes, all hail google, Knower of All! rolleyes
arrow I'm not goth, not even in her terms, because I'm Pagan with many Wiccan influences. And I'm not goth because I also don't fit all of the stereo-types. So if I know I'm not goth, then how can I be a posuer? Ditz stare ..

She had got it confused with Wicca. Wicca is a Pagan Religion that was not so much made in the 50''s, as brought farther into the light of the UK by Gerald Gardener.
Goth is simply a clothing and lifestyle, not a Religion. That girl is a moron.
By the way, most of the worlds Religion today were started as cults, so in that way, it''s possible to create a Religion. How else could the one''s that exsist have been made in the first place?

Yeah, and at first I thought maybe she was intellegent because she didn't follow the crowd. But after I read her poetry, I realized she had nothing to say and no opinions that she could back-up in depth. I looked back at mine and realized I had expierenced more, and even though she had seen me when I was hyper, I had a level of maturity that she can't even touch.

lol, sometimes that's exspectant. It's abit of a accomplishing feeling once you feel that you've then completly passed someone in which you thought was far more then you ever where. I love the feeling meh self! xd Google, BAHAHAHAH!!! rofl rofl

I honestly dont belive in stereotypes anymore.. I think some of the so called "goths" are just as stuck up as the "preps" and to be gothic isnt to wear black and never look happy.. Jeesh, people like that... make me mad twisted

Be you..not what people say you are. thats very true, good say pandorina. i just dress up what evr i want, and yes goth isn't always about bein all black and depressed. it is what you believe in and matters is how you feel about yourself the way you are, act, dress...anything. ^^

That girl is a little b****y. I mean, just because you're Pagan and you dress semi-goth with Wiccan stuff doesn't mean you're a poser goth. For all she knew, you could have just liked black and was a fan of Wicca. Sheesh. She needs to get a LIFE. I like black, and am a fan of Wicca, and I'm not a poser goth. So sue me. Tch. People like that aren't worth your time, let alone your words.
Oh yeah, you can have a religion with no deites. Take Buddhism. Buddha and the other Enlightened Ones are teachers, not gods.
