Boredom

Sitting in a classroom
Waiting for class to end
But sighing when you see the next class begin
Trying to find a friend
To help you along
Talking to ease your mind
But it only lasts so long
And there's always an exess
This is what you get
For too much time
And nothing to do
Killing your thoughts
In their prime
What has this world come to?
All the pain it's brought
How does it stay alive?
I'll tell you how
It feeds off your mind
Stays there secretly
Waiting for the right moment
To strike
To kill
I sigh as it overcomes me yet again
Boredom

Unrequited Love

I've never said it aloud
And probably never will
Whenever you say my name
It gives me secret thrills
I see the way your eyes dance
As you laugh at random things
And though you do not know it
I love it when you sing
Your voice heals all wounds
And takes all I have for me not to swoon
At night as I lay down to dream
It's always of you, as I lay there fresh and clean
I cannot help but wonder certain things
I wonder about your dreams
Are they good, or bad
Happy, or sad
But all those things are forgotten
As I walk through the doors
For I gaze into your eyes
And realize
You are a friend
Nothing more
Because as much as I want more
You don't
And though it makes my heart ache
I refuse to use force
For in true love
The decisions you make
Are for the betterment of the other
I guess it's just fate
Keeping us apart
You
As a whole
Remind me of a dove
All that has caused is more
More of this
This unrequieted love

Sunset

Sun sets
Dreams begin
Together
We can feel the wind
Brushing past us
Yet bringing us close
Making sure we don't rush
As we sit on the coast
The colors enchanting
So vivid in our minds
The view utterly breathtaking
And of a different time
A time of perfection
A time of you and me
A time of selection
Of what we are meant to be
I snuggle into your side
Your arms resting on my waist
I close my eyes and sigh
What a perfect place
Suddenly alarms go off
And the vision disappeares
I rise and look around
Crying silent tears
I become calm
And the day passes by
Suddenly I feel elated
I hurry through my tasks
And let fate take the wheel
My head hits the pillow
And just as before
Sun sets
And dreams begin

No Talking Allowed

Colors
Colors
Everywhere
yet here I sit
Without a care
Bored
Out of my mind
Writing this
To pass the time
Just writing
Line by line
These colors are so inviting
But still my legs don't move
Trying to interperet the artists thoughts
Like music on a score
Their paintings are so brave and true
Like a soldier off to war
Why must they torture us so
This thing we call an association
They think that we're gaining knowledge
When in reality it's deprivation
Less and less our minds will learn
As the pages of our books turn
I yawn and look around
I must stay silent
Without a sound
No talking allowed

Love

Love is like a flame
Wild and untamed
Eternal, yet unconstant
Love can be beautiful
Love can be harsh
Ravaging fumes of a wildfire
Or the clever disguise of desire
Love is the fire of the soul
It keeps us going
No matter the cost
And love is the key to all humanity
For without love,
What are we but specks of dust?

Alone

She sat in her meadow
Next to the stream
Watching the leaves float by
Suddenly the current changed
And a lone stick went by
Sighing insed as she stated aloud
"We're tow of a kind, aren't we?"
It's exactly how she felt
Alone
As alone as the twig she had seen
Floating by
Forgotten
In a quickly moving stream
Different than everyone else
Unwanted
In the world she lived in
Her only friends the trees of the forest
The only voices daring to speak to her
The whispers of the wind
Her only family the animals of this forest
Her forest
The only place she belonged
Because of society
She was discriminated upon
For loving nature
A freak in their world
As she very well knew
But she didn't mind
She'd grown used to it
Years ago
She'd found sanctuary
In being alone
Completely alone
In her life
The quickly moving stream
That she knew
Led to the sea
To utter freedom
Yet she knew she'd always be
The lone dreamer
Of a better day
Where she'd belong
Fit in
But almost instantly
She was proved wrong
Others began protesting
Attempting
To save their planet
Rebelling against the government
As it ignored their pleas
Suddenly she jumped into sight
After hiding for so long
Persuading the government slowly
That she was right
And they were wrong
Try after try
Persistence
Until they submitted
Ceasing the destruction
Of their world
Preservation commenced
The world had finally changed
For the better
To accept her
And she now had a wonderful sense
Of euphoria.
