i'd like to know what everyone else is reading? What books are you draw to? Is there an author you have read everything by and can't get enough?

I guess i will go first.
I am a huge fan of Jane Austen. i love her works and even though i have read everything i could read them all over again. i make a point of reading pride and prejudice every summer just because i love it so much. i have also read everything by Gregory Maguire, he is the author of Wicked and Son of a witch but he also has three other books, Mirror Mirror, Confessions of an Ugly step sister and Lost. i didn't like lost at all. it really confused me for the most part but all the other books were brilliant and i waiting to see what else he comes out with. Going along with major trends i have read all the harry potters and loved them and all the narnia books and loved them. i generally like to read movie books before i see the movie.
Some other great books that are worth looking into, in my oppinion, are:
Lamb: the gosphel according to Biff, Jesus's child hood pal - by Charles Moore.
Good Omens - by Terry Patchett and Neil Gaiman
The Darcy Gentleman Series - by Pamela Aidan
Phantom - by Susan Kay.
Zorro - by Isabel Allende

Right now I've been on a kick where I'm reading books from my childhood. I just finished Beezus and Ramona. It's amazing to read these books that I loved years ago and I still love them now.
I honestly read anything but a few of my favorite books are The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, The Stand by Stephen King and, of course, the Green Gables series. I also like to read James Joyce if I need a dash of insanity in my life.

I've read all Nicholas Sparks' books, I think the man should be sainted. He is probably my most favorite author, I absolutely adore his work. I've also read almost all of Lurlene McDaniel's, except for the newest one, and a few of the older ones. S.E. Hinton's books are also amazing, I carry a copy of The Outsiders in my purse, and have become a small little expert on the book, in fact, I frequent a message board where the admins are actual friends of Ms. Hinton's.
I've gotten into Jodi Picoult's work as of late. I read My Sisters Keeper last summer, and a few weeks ago I read Nineteen Minutes and Plain Truth. I have Mercy and The Pact here that I need to finish.

I'm a huge reader. I have two more Picoult books to read that I have here at the house, and my co-workers are trying to get me into the Twilight Series, lots of people say it's very good. I'm excited about reading the series.
Anyone else here read Twilight?
I also like reading books based on troubled teens; teen pregnancy, drugs, alcohol, cutting, and so on. I guess because I've dealt with all that before, whether I went through it or someone close to me. It's always kind in interesting to read a book and "compare".

i hate to say it but i am growing tired of the anne books that i am reading and just want to pick up pride and prejudice and read it cover to cover again in one sitting... or write something myself. i'm a big writer though some of my stuff is really lame. i just feel like i need to do it.

I think I would really like it. I graded papers on it my senior year of high school and it just sounded so good. I've never picked it up and read it.
I need to reread To Kill A Mockingbird. I loved it when I read it, but now it's just kind of faded in my mind. I read it when I was 16, and I was sick with mono, plus my kids were 10 months old so I was just soo busy, I remembered what I had to for quizzes and exams to get me through the homework I was sent, and I've kinda forgotten everything else. sweatdrop
And I still need to read Twilight, all the girls at work are RAVING about this book series and when I finish reading it, we're going to have a girls night out and discuss the book and so on.

Lurlene McDaniel books and a lot of Nicholas Sparks' books makes me bawl my eyes out. I cried the last 100 pages of The Rescue by Sparks. <3

I'm a real bookaholic. I have to have a book to read every week at the least. Right now im reading the book, Rebecca by Daphne Du Muarier. I find it a good book so far since i havent got too far into it yet. One very good book that every vampire/dracula lover should read is, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Another vampire book that I like is the series of, Twilight. Its a book I could not put down including the other two. I was dissapointed with the 3rd books ending though. I love the author, Gail Tsukiyama. She makes such wonderful, easy to read books. They are very uplifting. Everyone, sometime in their life, should read her book, Samuria's Garden. You will not regret it!
