___profile. full name : Evan Aloysius Jones goes by : Evan gender : male age : 18 birth date : 15 March zodiac : Pisces ethnicity : Caucasian
height : 5 feet, 3 inches weight : 110 lb. build : lithe and skinny hair color : snow white hair style : choppy, about chin-length eye color : pinky-red skin tone : super-pale distinguishing marks : none really, besides albinism
personality : Evan is ordinarily a shy, retiring sort of fellow, content to fade into the background while others take the spotlight. Still, he definitely has a poet's soul, and can wax eloquent on any sort of subject if given enough prompting and inspiration. The idea of having someone else look at his poetry, however helpful it could be, terrifies him, since he has doubts on whether or not his private thoughts are valuable to anyone. With combined self-deprecation and shyness, he normally has as much ambition as a bowl of cornflakes, which is why he used to work for minimum wage bagging groceries, but... There's a secret part of him that yearns for fame and fortune. It struggles with his usual pattern of behavior and surfaces in short bursts, just long enough to get him in trouble and then out of it again in the nick of time. likes : + physical contact + Italian food + quiet music + children + classical literature dislikes : _ formal speaking _ bright lights _ large dogs _ getting yelled at _ surprises talents/abilities : ~ poetry (influences: Oscar Wilde, John Donne, Lord Byron, etc.) ~ can do the "lazy eye". You know, when one eye looks straight and the other goes off to one side.
relationship status : single orientation : bisexual (uncertain) prefers : gentleness, slightly dominant

___playtime? RP Availability Breakdown
Type: shop/AIM/MSN/YIM Open. I've got nearly every messenger under the sun, so I'm pretty flexible concerning this. Asterisks abound in this area, and usually I can manage something.
Type: Semi-Lit Open. I'm good at this! I find literate stuff a wee bit harder to concentrate on; I can get distracted easily or lose my mojo and let a thread sit until I remember again. Also, I reeeaaaally prefer if we can have a plot to discuss and not just have our characters talk back and forth for ages. This is my standard mode, basically, and you can expect a good 2-3 paragraphs from me here.
Type: Lit Open... Ish. Same rules as semi-lit apply for this. These threads are kind of like Endeavors, since they have some greater content-output. I don't usually pump out more paragraphs than I can count on one hand, but with some sufficient prodding, I'm decent with this.

7 May 2008 The city stretches out before me; The promise made some time ago grows stale, There may be masses coming to adore me Like leaves in autumn just before the gale.
Rubbish! I can't write anything! Iambic pentameter escapes me... Maybe I should loosen things up, take a page from TS Eliot's book. His poems are depressing, but nicely written and they don't seem as restricted as my typical influences. I wish I knew what to write about, though. In the countryside, inspiration came with spring, but in the city, all the seasons are the same and I see cars and neon signs and tall buildings day after day. Perhaps I should take up gardening.
My contract for becoming a host has been... uneventful. The rooms are downright opulent, but nothing really interesting has happened yet. I'm acquainted with a few of the other strays, and I've caught glimpses of the hosts, but Searan is as aloof as God (though not nearly so dignified) and I've heard nothing from him. I know myself too well to think that just putting on fancy clothing I'll be able to entertain strangers... Just thinking about it makes my thoughts get disjointed. Thank goodness you can't see a stutter in a journal unless one means to put it there.
