So what kind of music do you listen too? what are your favorite genres? are you a musician? do you play any instruments? Do you love Mozart like i love Mozart? if you don't... you're fired! just kidding, but seriously you should totally love Mozart because he was absolutly amazing!

"kings and queens will come and go but there will only be one Mozart" - W.A.Mozart.

So aside from the already established fact that i LOVE Mozart, i am a huge music fan and love most genres and that is mainly because i have made it my purpose in life to study and teach music. yes i have my undergrad in vocal performance meaning i have an HBMus degree. I will be doing education next year to become a highschool music teacher (fun eh?).

aside from that i am a huge big band, jazz, canadian folk, musical theatre, sacred choral, classical orchestral, pop fan. if it was the form of "popular" music at some time in history i probably enjoy it.

i am a huge Andrew Lloyd Webber fan and really he was one of the reasons i became a singer.
i have sung in choirs all my life and so that kinda give my reasons for loving choral music but mainly sacred choral music.
Ella Fitzgerald is my jazz idol and i wish i could sing as well as she does.
Great Big Sea is my absolute favorite Canadian band.
Josh Groban is my favorite tenor.
Michael Buble is my favorite crooner (next to Frank Sinatra but he's dead crying )
Mozart is my favorite composer.

And my all time favorite work in all the musical repertoir is the Mozart Requiem especially the laucre mossa because Mozart chooses the text and writes the first 18 bars and then dies and leaves the work unfinished until his student finishes it for him and you can totally tell what is mozart and what is not. SO AMAZING~!!!

I'm a singer and I absolutely love it. I'm not good enough to be a star or anything, but I am pretty decent and have done some special solos and so on. I'm a huge 80's music fan, and I like the 90s as well, it's all pretty awesome. Classic rock, Rock/Alternative and Country are my favorite genre's.

As for bands, Goo Goo Dolls are my favorite band ever. Creed and Pearl Jam are a close second.

I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to music, I like all kinds. ^_^

Right now Peace Train by Cat Stevens is at it's end and next on my iTunes (I have it on shuffle) is The Older I Get by Skilet, then Faith of the Heart by Rod Steward. You can find things from 50s rock to Marilyn Manson to Backstreet Boys (haha) to Bon Jovi.

i have a funny Goo Goo Dolls story, cause i am such a geek.

Last year they came here and my uncle was touring with them through canada so i got free front row tickets. i was standing right in front of Johnny it was pretty cool. anyway i was there with my friend and we are both big saxophone fans and so when we noticed that there was a sax brought out on state when the opening act left we kinda has a little geek moment speculating when it would get played. well in the middle of the show when they sang iris the back up keyboardist picked up the sax. i hit my friend in the arm and pointed across the stage. Johnny saw this and when the saxophone solo started he walked over to the guy, grabbed his sleeve pulled him over to where i was and waved at me. they sax guy played his whole solo right there to my friend an i! it was embarassing and so funny all at the same time. heehee. i am such a music geek.

Aw that is super cool, and I am completely jealous that you got front row seats to a GGD concert! I went to Buffalo in 2004 for their July 4th concert and had the most amazing time! It poured that day, and through some of the concert. Johnny said, "We're going to keep going until this s**t stops." haha. They ended with Iris and it was completely pouring, which just made it so awesome. A lot of the stories I write are inspired by music, mostly GGD. I just love the band so much.

Haha, I loved being outside. Because nothing was better than seeing Johnny and Robby getting soaked whilst playing Iris, it was sooo amazing. Plus it was in Buffalo, where they're from, so it made it more special! They were right downtown. I came all the way from Kentucky to see them, but there was a group of people in the crowd who threw a sign to Johnny and he read it outloud and they came from Kansas, so farther than I came, haha. I do believe it was the most amazing night of my life, and my bank account still hates it, but I will NEVER regret it. When I'm 95 years old and on my death bed I'm going to be dreaming of them singing Black Balloon. <333

i feel that way about Great Big Sea. i would see them anywhere at any time. but i really would love to see them in newfoundland where they are from. apparently that is the best place to see them. but when i saw them here they were really amazing. the running joke was that there was a place across the street that had all you can eat fish and chips and that you don't say that to a newfie because they almost canceled the show for fish and chips! it was hillarious and then they told the whole audience that they had found out that there was a newfie bar in thunder bay and it happened to be in their hotel so right after the show that was where the party was going to be! heehee. i don't think the fox and the hedgehog had every seen that many people in it before.

I'm a singer, I was in chorus at school and took voice lessons. I play piano and violin, and I'd love to be able to play the guitar.

My favorite musical interests are Live, Evanescence, and Bonnie McKee, among some others.

Oh dear...it's like, impossible for me to answer this question simply. Sometimes I wish I had an absolute favorite band so I could say "I like ___". Haha.

I like Duke Ellington, The Monkees, Muse, 311, Miles Davis, Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, John Coltrane, Benny Goodman, Journey, Fischerspooner, William Hung, Kraftwerk, New Kids On The Block, J.S. Bach, The Postal Service, Queens Of The Stone Age, Nina Simone, Patsy Cline, Frank Sinatra...lots of stuff.

Genre wise I probably like jazz and 80's music the best.

I absolutely love movie soundtracks. I like the soundtrack to King Arthur by Hans Zimmer. I've never seen the movie but I have the soundtrack and listen to it all the time. I love the soundtracks to West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera, Titanic and even the TV soundtrack to The Mole.

Music is awesome!

Yay!
Both of my CD's are so scratched with use. I've had them both for over 10 years!

I think I got my Titanic Soundtrack back in 2000, one of the first CD's I ever bought with my own money. I have it on my iPod now. I've never had the WSS soundtrack but I did SHHHHHHHHHHHH swipe the DVD from my band teacher when he left me in charge of the room redface I do promise I didn't mean to pick it up under my books, but I can't promise I tried my hardest to give it back. Eeek. But it is an awesome soundtrack though.

A Walk To Remember soundtrack is really good.

A Walk To Remember does have a very good soundtrack. Tonight on American Idol, David Cook sang Dare You To Move by Switchfoot and I didn't think he did very well. But it's kind of a cool coincidence that that soundtrack was mentioned here and then sang on the show.
