when I talk about the Mighty Boosh.
See, here in america since TMB doesn't come on TV (duh) we have to tell people about it and make them watch it on the internet.
I've gotten most of my close friends into it, pretty easily.
But I've come across a very peculiar situation.
Seee, aparently everyone in the world has seen a ten or less minute clip of old gregg. From the boat scene to the end of "Love Games."
So they think that's it, and it's hilarious.
They go around quoting it and stuff, like they think they know everything.
And they don't even know who Vince Noir is!
Or Howard's name! D:
So I thought I'd tell them and be like "Oh, yeah! I love the mighty boosh!" but every time I do that, they're like "the mighty whatsa?"
so I tell them again, and by then they have the look on their face that says
a) "you're on crack."
or b) "You made that up didn't you?"
and no matter how much i tell them, they won't listen to me, or watch it.
It puts me in a weird situation, like they're going around talking about MY favorite show like they know it all, and they won't even take into mind that it is a whole couple of series.

So, have any of you been put in this situation before?
or do you have any ways of making them look like idiots so they'll believe me for once?
or, did you happen to have waffles for breakfast today?

gaaaaaaar, i hate it when people have only seen old gregg. there's sooooo much more to the boosh. (of course, everybody in this guild knows that full well, but it still makes me mad when people don't.)
since i have most (if not all) of the episodes on my computer hard drive, i show people as much as i can about the boosh. even if the refuse to watch it. (it's hard to know what episode to show first though. D: )
but when i go to talk about it, they ONLY know old gregg! i'm like what the **ntmuffins! you're all dumba$$es, you slags!
(hehe. sorry. took a moment to rant for myself there...)
i say we form a merry band and put up posters all over the us and whatnot. doing public demonstrations and the like. (or just being silly.)
we need to educate the masses of dumb americans pronto! >.<
and no, i did not have waffles today, but i COULD have. there was the waffle machine all out and ready to go.

They apparently do show it on BBC America there are a lot of American fans on the main Mighty Boosh forum here:

It's quite hard to join your account has to be approved before you can even access it but it doesn't take more than a couple of days normally.

i live in the UK so i don;t have that problem, the trick is to get another friend, just one into watching it and talk about it infront of your other friends, they'll feel left out and watch it too !
well that how i do things twisted
ok for the one friend take advantage of a time they are over at your house and make them watch clips online all the episodes are avalible on youtube but they are under "mitey bush" so they don;t get found by copyright.
anyhoo make one friend become addicted and the others will follow
TMB is addictive .. . . much like crack XD
now remeber kids maniulating your friends is wrong
but its fun and you can get what you want so who cares ?

gah, every time i have a friend over, i show them the boosh. i can't help it! it's too amazing. >.<
but some of them appreciate it, so it's okay

Yeah at first my friends thought I was on crack too (and i'm in the UK!).
And some of them knew Old Gregg and I was like "HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT KNOW BOOSH WHEN YOU KNOW OLD GREGG!?"
I foreced them to watch ALL the episodes =D
I'm such a nice friend xd

funny I started off as one of the people who only saw little parts of old greg then my friend asked me if I liked the mighty boosh and I was like whats that? then he told me it was the show and I felt really stupid about it but I got interested and searched it on you tube and liked it after reading this I feel sort of bad I wish I got into it a different way ):
