Me too >.<
Yesterday night when I was about to sleep, there was a lot of weird noises, and then I realised it was the rain (xD) (but it was odd, because the noises didn't sound like coming from the window ~~)
Plus there was thunder also. I wasn't really afraid, but I worried a tiny bit if any water would come inside é~è;; (it didn't. xD)

To get back to your first subject about thunders... I'm kinda fascinated by them. heart I don't really know why. Maybe because of the energy and power generated. The sound is pretty impressive too. It takes you back to your place. I mean, there're still things which can't be controlled and you feel it really well when you're in a middle of a thunderstorm. When I was younger I was used to go out and watch the flashes of lightning under the rain. XD And I was again more fascinated after having seen the movie, Twister. Even if it's not exactly the same phenomenon, it's still an impressive climatic one. I wanted to do the same job as the characters of the movie (put sensors or whatever it's called into twisters.) XD Now I'm just opening the window to watch the lights and hear the rain. But I have a CD called Orages et Éclairs which helps me falling asleep. XD

I'm afraid of thunder when I'm outside. I've heard so much stories about fire balls when I was young and impressive (my grandma has lost one of her very young sister when there was a cyclone in Guadeloupe, and another one of her sister has been burned by an fireball during a thunder storm). But when I'm in safety, at home, I love to see lights in my room, and read in my bed during the rain *w*

Just like Silrin, I'm quite fascinated by thunderstorms too, and by any other enigmatic or impressive climatic phenomenon... Here in Brittany it's nearly the season of what we call 'orages secs' ('dried storm' I mean, without any rain). Those 'orages secs' are far more impressive than any other thunderstorms, because of the particular sounds it makes, like the whole earth is cracking...
I would also love to see northern lights. Wow the french word is more beautiful: aurores boréales... just the name makes you dream whee
However in another subject, I've experienced a small earthquake (still here in Brittany), 5.4 on the Richter magnitude scale)... It's very veryyyy impressive and awesome! And what a strange feeling to accept the fact that your own house in not anymore the secure place it always has been before...

Oh, you're right ! I'd love to see northern lights *w*
I've experienced a earthquake too...but my experience is not very impressive. I was sleeping in Point-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and I didn't feel anything. But everybody else of my family felt it and was awaken XD I don't remember how "big" it was, I was 8 so I didn't pay much attention about this information.

Oh my, it's so quiet in here. I agree that natural disasters isn't the most joyful topic, but still. =p

Party! >w< Don't forget I'm in the famous "Sud-Ouest", so there are gigs everywhere, bands, songs and dances from Pays Basque and Béarn ... even the pubs have put up stands outside. It's amazing to see so many people on the Boulevard des Pyrénées all night. ^^ This was Leilo for Tourism TV, thanks for listening! o/No seriously, come have fun with us! o/
