Dark eyebrows lofted at the question Kenta posed him. "It's not a question of faith when you're working out, it's of safety. You don't see me lifting things freely, do you?" he mused out loud, moving in front of the waiter. Brad lifted his eyes to the young man's, a small smile playing over his lips. "First, you'll want to look in the mirror," he jutted his thumb over his shoulder, indicating the massive one that spanned the wall, "to make sure you're distributing the weights evenly on either side of your hands." He blinked, looking behind to the mirror, catching his own perplexed expression. "Guess I need to move for that, though."
Brad moved around behind Kenta. In fact, he was almost pressed against the waiter from behind, putting a hand on either side of the dumbell so that the young man was between himself and the weight. "All I'm going to do is stand here and make sure that if you don't feel up to it, that you don't drop the thing," he murmured over the other's shoulder, not wanting to speak too loudly since he was right there. "That's all spotting is. I'm sure you'll manage this just fine." He smiled encouragingly before releasing the dumbell and taking a small step backwards, allowing Kenta the room to pick up the weight and move back appropriately.

''Ah, alright'' the waiter said as he glanced at the large mirror and two perplexed purple eyes gazed at him right back.
Kenta then blinked as Brad had positioned himself behind him, making his eyes watch the man curiously as he tried to follow the instructions he was giving out. He never knew there were so many precautions, but the things Brad was saying made perfect sense. All this time he was still fixated on the dumbells, still imagining how heavy they were and if they were...clean.
He wrinkled his forehead, causing him to hesitate but one look at Brad who was right behind him, made him reconsider. ''Well, here goes.'' he shrugged as he touched the touched the hard object. It was colder than he had thought, maybe because it hadn't been used recently, nevertheless he slowly wrapped his fingers around it and carried the two dumbells in both hands--- a little too fast for his own good. He flinched a little before setting it to rest in the place where it had been. He turned to the host and gave him a satisfied look, while shaking his arm a bit to ease the undesirable feeling on his right arm. ''You should go and continue your work out.'' it sounded more of a statement than a suggestion since Kenta obviously was not in the mood to lift any other things..at least for tonight.

Brad looked at Kenta for a moment, extending a hand to touch the other's arm before giving a slight nod. "If you want to watch me get sweaty, I'll be happy to oblige," he teased with good humor, turning back to the machine he'd wanted to use. "Just don't stare too hard, you'll give me an ego."
An hour later...
He hadn't been lying. While sweat wasn't exactly pouring off him in buckets, his skin seemed to glow with a faint sheen, and his hair was a bit darker than usual. Wrapping his towel over his shoulders and using it to wipe at his hair, Brad rejoined Kenta, smiling. "So was that all you ever hoped for?" he chuckled softly, rubbing his head. "Boring, no doubt. You want some company walking home?" Indigo eyes shifted briefly towards the entrance - it was mighty dark now - before returning to the young man's lighter orbs.
Rolling his tight shoulders and flexing impressively (it was to his advantage; muscles always looked the best after a good work out), he added, "It's not a bad area, but I'll keep us safe." Brad was a bit more flirty after his exercise, as he always felt on top of his game - on top of the world, even - and was immensely satisfied by his efforts. Poor Kenta was just receiving the brunt of his pride, which came with a wide, playful grin and amused quirk of his brows.

Kenta sat on a nearby bench for the time Brad was doing his own thing. He did not mind waiting at all, the past years of his life turned him into a patient young man. During this time the few people around the gym who were working around would often look at the hosts way as he lifted, pulled and did all those..other things (wherein Kenta was clueless) with the machines. He wondered what there was about the man that drew peoples stares.
"Hm? " he said as the man approached him, "Mm-hmm" he nodded his head, he definitely needed the company---and the directions to the club. That was the main reason he accidentally arrived in this gym anyways.
The young man placed his hands inside his jacket as the older man flexed his muscles, his face was like he was in awe. "Keep us safe? ..I'm sure." he gave a small smile, and had a fake tone of doubt in his voice. But he was amused, the title of 'rescuer' or 'prince charming' suited Brad in more ways than one. Then he pointed his finger to the direction of the showers, "Shower?"

The older man chuckled softly at the hint of doubt, releasing the towel with a faint smile. He blinked at Kenta as he pointed towards the showers, looking in that direction and then back to the waiter. "What, are you offering?" he snorted, still smiling. "I was going to wait until the comfort of my own dorm, but if you insist..."
Brad cocked his head to the side, still smiling with a touch of mischief.

After a few seconds of his face being frozen in confusion he finally spoke ''Offering?'' he said softly, ''You want me to come with you?'' still partly in a state of confusion. He moved his head to the side, focusing his gaze in another place to avoid Brad's face who was clearly enjoying all this.
''We could go to the dorms to shower. I mean, you shower.'' he looked at the host again with his normal expression.
He pushed away the brown locks that fell on his face as he awaited Brad's reply.

His chest rumbled with smoothered laughter, his lips drawn tightly into a smile, threatening to split into a grin. "Thank you. If you saw the showers here, you'd understand my preference," Brad replied in a perfectly even voice, as if he'd never teased the other. He felt just a little bad, teasing the young man, as it seemed he didn't quite understand. Ah well, he'd just have to keep working on him until then, wouldn't he?
Making sure he had everything with him (which wasn't much), the older man lead the way out of the gym. As the cool air touched his bare skin, he took a deep breath, exhaling so that his breath was visible. It wasn't that it was that cold out, he was just that warm. Brad turned to make sure Kenta was following, smiling at the waiter before tilting his head in one direction. "This way then. I'll behave."
It wouldn't do to chase off the only friend he'd made because he was being a goofball. That wasn't to say that his more fun-loving nature wasn't lurking just beneath the surface, but he'd refrain from constant teasing for the time being. Brad wouldn't hesitate to make a quip at anything that was said, however, and that's where the dangerous part was.

He wrinkled his nose a little as he imagined how the showers would be here. The older man was definitely wise to just take a shower back home. But wouldn't he catch a cold or something? Especially since it was a little cool outside because of the night. He was a little worried Brad would catch something.
Kenta followed Brad out of the gym, and as soon as they went out, the young man felt a tremendous burden lifted off of him. Evidently he wasn't happy to go into unfamiliar territory. He turned his head to the other, and gave him a questioning look since he did not know where to go. He nodded at the man's words and began to follow him, trailing behind. "Hm.." he started, mentally taking note of where they were going to avoid him being lost in the future, "This place is new to me." the waiter then quickened his pace to match the other but was still significantly behind him.

Brad privately thought the nose-wrinkling was one of the cutest things he'd ever seen, but kept it to himself, strolling down the sidewalk. He glanced over his shoulder at the waiter, a mock expression of hurt flitting over his features. "Hey now, if you didn't want to be seen with me, I could have just given you directions." A teasing smile quickly replaced the wounded look, a faint chuckle silencing him for the moment. He shook his shaggy head, running a hand through his quickly drying hair.
The evening was nice, at least. He still felt warm despite the chill air; in fact, he welcomed the cold, it invigorated him more than the heat ever could. He preferred the cold weather if not soley for all it brought with it, but that was neither here nor there, as Winter was still a long ways away. At least it wasn't snowing. "You chose a good evening to take a stroll," he commented at length, not slowing his pace. Brad decided Kenta must have something on his mind, and he didn't want to heckle the brooding youth anymore than normal.
For now.

The young man blinked as the host spoke, making him feel a little confused at the start. He then noticed just then on how far behind he was from the man and he had done that unconsciously maybe because he was thinking about something else. He moved towards Brad, barely making it beside him because the other man took long strides as compared to Kenta's small, careful steps. He made his way beside the older man now very close to him as he kept his hands warm from the chill of the night.
"It is a good night" he agreed, "You're not feeling too cold? You did work out a sweat after all" Kenta said in a surprisingly very serious tone, bending to glance at the man beside him. He felt rather chilly, thinking Brad felt the same.

"Tsk! First you don't want to be seen with me, now you're fretting? You're so sweet, Kenta." Brad draped his arm around the waiter's shoulders, pressing his very warm palm against the young man's cheek. "I'm my own personal heater. It'll have to be colder than this for me to need cover. You, on the other hand," he teased, hugging Kenta to his side as they walked, "feel like you've just come out of a meat locker." He wasn't so tight that the other couldn't pull away, but playful enough that it was obvious he was enjoying himself.
Brad tilted his head to the side. "Do you go on walks just for the exercise, then?" His indigo gaze shifted towards the violet eyes of the other, curious.

"I'm just concerned" he said almost defensively as he looked away from Brad and seemed to be scanning his surroundings. As the older man started to hug him he then felt the warmth that seemed to be emanating from his body as compared to his own. He was the very opposite of the host (he felt cold), and because of this he rather liked this hug, mainly because Brad was so warm. He moved closer to the man, trying to get more of the comfortable heat, not really noticing the stares of the people they passed by.
"I get cold quickly" he started, looking at the man, "Mainly for that, yes. But I also like to go around for well... the sights I suppose." There was really a lot the waiter hadn't seen in this city, since he was fairly new to it and even before, he never really went out much. Inwardly he wondered if Brad was very familiar with the place since he seemed to know where they were going.

He gave Kenta a squeeze, keeping his expression neutral despite his inward surprise at the waiter's actions. Content to hug the young man as they walked, Brad nodded to Kenta's statement. "There is a lot to see, but the business district is a little dull. I admit it's entertaining to watch people work out, but if you'd gone northeast instead, you would have run into a more interesting walk of the city." He chuckled softly, not at all reprimanding his companion, simply stating the truth.
"Next time, you can ask me, if you'd like." He smiled down to the young man in the crook of his arm. "I'll let you know the more visually pleasing parts, sans gyms even." Brad grinned, his tell-tale sign that he was going to make an arse of himself. "Or, I can take you to the food courts. My treat. Don't even have to call it a date."

"Yes, maybe I should go the other way next time.. Though I have never been fond of very lively places." Kenta turned to face the older man, bringing his hand to his chin as he was thinking. He was about to say that he did not know the way, and that he had very little skills in navigating places no matter how simple-- but Brad spoke first. He nodded at the 'invite' of the man, "That's a good idea." his face lit up but an aura of seriousness still remained. He was glad the man had said that.
Kenta arched a brow, Sans gym? Another gym? He disliked going to gyms, unless out of desperation like earlier. He decided not to speak any more about that and also because the next words that Brad had said made more impact on him. Date? That word stuck in his head even if Brad had stated that it wasn't going to be a date. But still, the young man felt a little affected by that word, but he should not have been because it was.. Brad.
"Alright" was his simple answer to the host, he looked away, his eyes more busy and distant than before.

The older man nodded at the comment with full understanding. He wasn't a fan of places that had more people than room to breathe...even the movie theatres were pushing it. Despite his position in the Club, Brad was a very solitary individual. He preferred his peace and quiet, or at least, some degree of privacy while doing things he enjoyed. There were very few people he liked enough to include in his small personal circle - he could count them on one hand - but the man against his side was definitly amongst them.
"Don't sound so excited," he mock-sulked at the one word response. It occured to him that he might be a little teasing in excess, and that he really should cool it. Brad was not flirty or silly by nature, but an observer would be hard pressed to believe that with how he heckled the younger man in his grasp. "Sorry, I'll knock it off," he chuckled, more to himself than Kenta, making a turn down the block and continuing on their way. "I promised to be good, and here I am...not doing as I said. For shame."
He was smiling all the while and his girp never loosened on his companion. The Host enjoyed the company, and he had to keep his friend warm, right? Indigo eyes glanced down to Kenta, idly wondering if there was a line to cross with the waiter and his constant teasing of him.
